Actually, & in all seriousness now, there are some subtle differences, especially WRT there effect on sheer-wave. Plus, you'll get a slightly different effect on box behaviour by bracing it with solid wood / MDF / whatever rather than a single piece & back-fill with cat litter etc.
I wonder if I can have the best of both worlds with 13 pieces @ 85 stepping back, then the smaller bits & do kitty litter fill. then I can just use up the scraps left over, and easier to cut 13 of same size rather than 17 of all different lengths.
I was actually planning that too but I guess I had more MDF than I cared for and besides, something has to make these things heavy.

Bach, Six Suites for Unaaccompanied Cello. Sarabande from Suite No.1 in G Major will haunt you for days. Perfect recording to allow you to hear & feel a realistic scale of the instrument -this is the kind of thing that BR with a horn loaded vent does rather well.

I just need to mount the drivers...the enclosures are all done..so I hope to get them going tonight with my Trends TA10 amp.

Well the sound is getting better and better as the drivers get more hours on them..
A couple of Q's if I may:
- damping material...will old carpet work well or does it have to be the woollen underlay..? Any other cheap, available materials that might be worth using..?
- the drawing I have doesn't have the vertical slot in the chamber, so I just have a horizontal slot..would it improve sound by putting it in..?
I have not yet glued down the tops..so I can still get inside the boxes.
It is my first build and so far so good...even the wife likes them...but I will have to work out how it is best to paint them...without wasting heaps of time.

In my drawing from Scott that piece is not there..wasn't sure if it was an oversite or that is how it should be built.
I understand the need for the bracing and that in particular the bracing behind the driver needs to be accurately made and fitted.

That piece of wood is what makes the port the length it needs to be. Without it, the box will be tuned quite a bit higher. Unless you are using some unusual driver in these, and Scott has sent you a one-off special version of the box...

The Audio Nirvana Super 6.5s drivers "exercised" over the weekend while we were gone. Now I need a box to put them in. The Half-Chili Chang looks great for the space in the living room.
Are there any modifications I need to make to the boxes? Or should I build straight off the plans and play with BSC after they are done?

The baffle step point is completely independant of the driver, and from this POV, they shouldn't need much. However, these units will need major compensation (either with Eq or adding series resistance) as unmodified, Qt is far too low for this enclosure, and as they also have a rising response, the LF will seem extremely weak.
