alway too late

Hi all,

I know I am waaaaay tooo late but maybe someone changed their mind and wants to sell his transformers. It is better that I used them than that they stay on your shelf 🙂. So if someone wants to sell or there are some left I am quite interested. If not I am going directly in a week or two to order from Cinemag...

Pred

PS
I saw several 15/15B on their site, which one was that you bought?

pics or comments on cinemag

1. does anyone have any photos of their implementation of the cinemag transformers. i think pinkmouse was the only one to post a pic so far unless there is a thread i have yet to locate.

2. did anyone make any qualitative or quantitative observations they would like to share?

3. were they generally used in place of in input coupling cap? or were some used for single ended to balanced conversion?

thanks

Hi All,

Found this older post and was just wondering how everyone liked the CineMag CMLI 15/15B input trannies? I have a ground loop problem that I temporarily solved by lifting the power ground. I have read online where using an input transformer would also solve my ground loop problem. I emailed CineMag and they suggested using the CMLI15/15B. Which brings me here and with a question or two:

First, when using these transformers, is there any affect on the sound? Any lose of frequency extremes?

Second, my tube amps use the JELabs 300b circuit with a 100k input load. Is there anyone using these trannies with a similar 100k load and a preamp? My preamp is an Accuphase C200 model and seems to mate well with my amps.

Finally, these trannies look to be well shielded. Will it be ok to mount these inside my amp chassis, as long as a take care to keep them away from AC sources?

Any help with these questions would be most appreciated.

Regards,
Danny
