Hello

What is the hight of the 1500uF Black Gate capacitors? I would like to build a case that accepts both Panasonics and BGs.

\Anders

Catalog says 42mm. I had the problem with my first chassis, that the top wouldn't fit on when I swapped out for the BG STD capacitors.

BTW: your kit shipped out to Texas this morning.

Nope, from their US depot. I hope you weren't taking my comment as dissappointment in waiting for my kit, cause I'm a happy camper. I could have ordered the parts from Digikey sans PCB and had them a while ago but I'd be paying more than double the price. For this price with PCB's included, I can wait. Besides, I still haven't prototyped my SuperSymmetric bootstrapped balanced gainclone yet (that was the Digikey package arriving).

Cheers,

Amazing that it takes twice as long to send a package from the US to Canada than from the US to Europe:xeye:

/U.

It really confuses me. I have sent packages to Europe and have them arrive in 3 days, and have packages arrive to me from Japan in 4 days. When Peter mailed me a package, it took 4 days to get to me. I blame the customs system.

I bought an item on eBay a few months ago from a US seller. It took the item a little more than 3 weeks to get here even though it usually takes somewhere between 10 to 15 days with most of them arriving within 10 days. I called Canada Customs and was told that I should consider myself lucky when I get something in less than 2 weeks !!!

I originally thought Uncle Sam was paranoid and closing it's borders. :cannotbe:

I am looking forward to recieving mine.

I am working on a carbon fibre/aluminum composite enclosure with an aero inspired profile.

Battery power with auto charging system in a seperate box.

I will post pics. when I have it ready.

(Listening to Randy Newman right now)

Actually, the wait has worked to my advantage. Instead of using a potentiometer for the volume control, I've now had the time to design and build a stereo 12 step series attenuator using a 2 deck Grayhill switch.

Hmmm ..... building audio jewelry ..... drool .....
