I am not exactly sure what you mean by your other question, but the distance between the top of the PCB and the bottom of lm3875 package is 3.2mm. Hopefully that helps.

Hello
What is the hight of the 1500uF Black Gate capacitors? I would like to build a case that accepts both Panasonics and BGs.

Catalog says 42mm. I had the problem with my first chassis, that the top wouldn't fit on when I swapped out for the BG STD capacitors.
BTW: your kit shipped out to Texas this morning.

As soon as I receive the package from Brian, I will start sending it out. I didn't receive it yet, but I hope for this week, or early next week. It usually takes 7-10 days for a parcel to get here.
I have become so spoiled by DigiKey. I ordered some parts last night, and they just arrived about a half hour ago, after travelling half way across the continent and clearing customs too. I'd love to know how they manage that!

Nope, from their US depot. I hope you weren't taking my comment as dissappointment in waiting for my kit, cause I'm a happy camper. I could have ordered the parts from Digikey sans PCB and had them a while ago but I'd be paying more than double the price. For this price with PCB's included, I can wait. Besides, I still haven't prototyped my SuperSymmetric bootstrapped balanced gainclone yet (that was the Digikey package arriving).
Cheers,
Cheers,
I got mine!
Thanks for the quick shipment, Brian. The board looks better in the flesh (fiber?) than in the photos. Can't wait to hear how it sounds.

Bump!
Peter, any news on the European orders? 🙂 (Patience is obviously a virtue not bequeathed on me 😉)

I've got the heatsinks, the toroidals, the stereo pot, the RCA jacks. I even have a pretty good idea of the layout and what the case will look like ! Guess what I am missing ??? 😀
😀
We don't want to pressure you Daniel. We're just trying to let some steam off while waiting for our kits.

No sign of it yet. Hopefully it will be there soon. The packages that I have mailed to Peter in the past have taken between 10-15 days, and it has been about 15 days now.

Amazing that it takes twice as long to send a package from the US to Canada than from the US to Europe

I suspect it may get delayed by customs. There is also a difference between small packet and a large parcel. I believe this one was more than 50lb.

It really confuses me. I have sent packages to Europe and have them arrive in 3 days, and have packages arrive to me from Japan in 4 days. When Peter mailed me a package, it took 4 days to get to me. I blame the customs system.

I bought an item on eBay a few months ago from a US seller. It took the item a little more than 3 weeks to get here even though it usually takes somewhere between 10 to 15 days with most of them arriving within 10 days. I called Canada Customs and was told that I should consider myself lucky when I get something in less than 2 weeks !!!

I originally thought Uncle Sam was paranoid and closing it's borders.

ill get mine before you get your's. im next to toronto. heck on a clear day i can see it. past the smog. toronto to hamilton takes 3 to 4 day's😉

Actually, the wait has worked to my advantage. Instead of using a potentiometer for the volume control, I've now had the time to design and build a stereo 12 step series attenuator using a 2 deck Grayhill switch.
