Thanks for the details ! And congrats on the results of your project btw. Also your speakers look very nice. I intend on removing the ugly vinyl on mine and put some proper veneer and newer grill cloth at some point.I've attached the word document that falcon supplied to me. It doesn't list the inductance values. I have the inductance values but I'm not sure on the resistances. The large iron core (L1) is 1.1mH and the large air core (L3) is 0.25mH. The small iron core (Sits in C4 position) is 2mH. This one has a resistance of 6.4ohms according to the info I have on file.
Regarding the crossover : (pls see Chorale's vintage crossover schematics attached) It seems that Falcon designed the 37K crossover around the same values for the inductance (both HF and LF) and tinkered a bit with the values and number of caps. I was expecting more radical changes. Not sure whether I should stick to the vintage one and simply replace the caps or try to emulate the newer version. Tbh I'm mainly looking to get a more forward/detailed (lower) midrange. Also upper midrange is a bit harsh now (female voices for instance) — I'm comparing these to Harbeth P3ESR / Yamaha HS8.
Btw : Any idea what the yellow component is ??? (6K 250V CMG) Sorry but my knowledge is limited. Thanks again !

On my old Goodman Mezzo SL (a similar design) i did not change the crossover, just fixed it. It uses the Seas H087 (ancestor of the T27) tweeter and a goodman 10" woofer and sounds with the original crossover so good that i did not even think about changing it (and i did rebuild many other speaker's crossovers). Thanks for the details ! Your speaker originally had a Philips ADA0100 clone tweeter (called the DT3) as used in most of their speakers at that time. The woofer was made by Goodman themselves. If you replace the drivers with other types, you need to measure them, not use just a stock crossover and hope it work. It just won't be optimised for the cabinet and the drivers used..
I think you are referring to OP who worked on a ported KEF Chorale in a Goodman enclosure. I, on the other hand have a pair of Chorales, and since I have to recap the original crossover, I thought I might look for some upgrades and adjustments of sorts. On my old Goodman Mezzo SL (a similar design) i did not change the crossover, just fixed it. The component labelled .6K 250V is a 0.6uF (600nF) 250V capacitor. I used a solen 630V part in mine. Thanks for the details ! And congrats on the results of your project btw.
