Good 300 W 8 Ohm power amplifier .
Hi , anyone here know a good 300 W 8 Ohm minim power amplifier ?
I'am searching for something not very hard to build and not very expensive...
Thank's !

Hi again ...
Maybe P3A from sound.westhost.com it's good for me ..
Someone know a layout for this amplifier ? ( PCB )

300 Watt Amp
Hi,
Build the ESP P68 , I am presently running 4 in a club and they really kick butt, easy to build and Rod's boards are very well made.🙂

hi
you can build the elektor trans 300 w amp , using mj 2 x 15003 and 2 x mj 15004 in the out put stage , requirs about 650 va or so

Or, try the Superleach amp at around 270W into 8 ohms, about double this into 4 ohms at Prof. Leach's website. A search for "Leach Amplifier" will produce results....
300 W in 8 Ohm .
I can't build the Leach amp .. i can't find some transistors here in romania .. i relly like that amp .. well documented .. very good design .
What about the elekton amp ? someone mention about this one upper in this tread ...
Also .. maybe P68 is a good idee .
Thank's !

Elektor amp
The elektor amp features as follows
+-65VDC @625VA transformer
Although a Symmetrical design PA300 W
Frontend consists of Ne5534 Opamp served as diffrential amp
Voltage amplification and current drive is achieved by MJE15032 and MJE15033 drivers and output stage consists of 2 X MJ15024 and MJ15023 devices
A descent design by Riedl
Disadvantages
Requires too much heat sinking or u have to use force cooling
low slew rate
medium damping factor

Re: Elektor amp
you don't have to have the exact transistors. Just find the datasheet for the transistors used and find their equavalents in your country.
thanks like an interesting design. do you have a schematics for it?

NPN output stage
If u cant able to find transistors in RUMANIA
then do u opt for NPN Quasi Complementary output Stage
using NPN transistors, Want a circuit schematic

Elector Amp
Hi Amp_Mm_1
Do you have a PCB for that amp? looks interesting and I could design my own but I would prefer working with a board as published. Do you have a copy of the Elector article as well?

I have the Elektor magazine containing this article with me , But no scanner to scan the image.
Personally I would recommend u another amplifier consists of only NPN transistors at output stage because this elektor amp has not sufficient current gain to provide TRUE BASS THUMPING i.e. Its Damping factor is low.
If u are intersted then i can publish the circuit here for u

I've have viewed the Information on the Leach amp via, http://users.ece.gatech.edu/~mleach/lowtim/. It seems that the output power is 120w/8R. Is it possible to make this amp produce around 400w/4R without making any modifications in the circuit, only changes to the components?
Thanks
Thanks
Hi,
Someone here have a layout for P3A ? I can't buy the PCB from ESP because the shipping cost more than the hole amp ... ( for my country ) .
Thank's !!!

Re: Hi,
You must be joking 😕 2 x 300 W amp for less than a few stamps? From Sweden it costs 5-7 USD worldwide registered mail.darkm4n said:.... because the shipping cost more than the hole amp ... ( for my country ) .
I have problem's with my local postoffice ... that's a nother reason ... plus .. i can make the P3A for less than 4 $ since i can get lot of the part's for free .. including the output trans.
