Tobias, Those are some saweeet boards!
I like it! I would like it better with an off-board pot, but I still like it! 😀

As you can see, none of the experienced gaincloners here have commented on my proposed guidelines for an integrated amp project and if it didn't pique the interest of carlosfm, then it probably isn't worth doing 🙂

I think Russ is right, let's not get too off-topic from the title of this thread, which is already long just to talk about one preamp design.
Don't get us wrong, ok?
I didn't comment because of this.

The best place to put the pot is on-board.
I know that from an electronic perspective the board is indeed the best place for the pot, but from a builders perspective it limits options. Still I like it!!! When tobias reports results I may just have to order some for myself!
tobias,
Hey are you going to be selling those boards? If not someone should, they look supa dupa nice. I like the pot on the board, keeps it clean and simple.
😀

Hehe... if I know myself right I'm like gonna test this thing 2009
😀
I have like sunky highspeakers, a unmodded DV-575 (soon Carlos soon...😉 ) and a semisunky reciever 🙂 so I have like nothing to try it on hehe, I just think it's fun to build, but maybe i'll buy some nice speakers soon.
I could actual send the piece to you Russ as you seems to have 100 fingers 😀 if you send it back someday hehe.
Naz, thanks! and selling... not that I know about, first of all I would like it to be tested by someone else, I may have a person now...
Oh, I have a question for the experts if there gonna be a rev.2 🙂
How much does the cap between OP-out to OP-neg.in influense the sound? should it be like a polyprop or mica or is a simple polyester fine?
Thanks

Hey Tobias. I would be glad to do two group buys once I test your board (which I would like to do one way or the other). I would like to offer one board with the pot on-board, and one with an external pot.
Also, George is sending me a board or two to test, so I am keeping a very open mind, but I would love to put some parts on your boards and go them a go! I have a modded Denon 3900(new PS and 627s) , and my GCs to test with. 😀 I also have 7 Cryolite speekers in my 7.1 listening room along with some Tannoys.
Is this the same board as the one you sent me the eagle files for?
Cheers!

Tobias, I have used ceramic(monolithic) and silver mica for the cap from opamp out to inverting input. Both worked great, and I could not detect a difference.

Russ, Send me an email with your address and I'll try to get the boards mailed by the end of the week. 😀
