F F AC Filter
I can use 4 pcs shipped to Canada .
**We're on round #7!!!**
I've confirmed how to order parts, made sure it isn't an issue for Comocos. (please no more requesting samples)
Gen1 w/comoco's
Here's how it is different in settling time from the original.
Here's a comparison between resonances.
The Weco 983ZD are preferred terminals, but not always available as individual sale. For this reason I'm going to include them in the price of PCB, so that I can meet min order requirements for them and save everyone the shipping.
Price: $13ea ($9 per filter board same as original, $2 per Weco, 2 needed per board)
Shipping: $9 US, priority USPS box
$16 CAD
$17 General international padded envelope (prices may vary due to a crazy world)
If ordering over 4x boards there may be an additional $10, depending on destination.
Need 32 filter board commitments to order.

So I'm building my six boards and am halfway done already and the first issue came up. All of my Bypass resistors are metal film. I saw that recommended is carbon comp. I don't know if Its a hard no on this or should I just go ahead and use them?
Well if they are rated right they will work.
Carbon comp are better at surviving adverse line fluctuations but they don’t see much power anyways.

i went over the datasheet for all od the resistors. most of them are like this:
statying 350v for "working voltage"
the one that I used for Q4018 comoco does not state that so i went deeper into the datasheet:
This is MOS1 1Watt so for absolute max working voltage it says E - SQRT (P x R). i dont know what this is. square root of resistance times power and power is 1 so it is that would be square root of 1500 which is ~38 . so that cant be. also what is E?

The resistor should be no where near the rated power typically so I wouldn't worry about that.
thanks. its coming along well. I'm making some changes to make the box standi up vertically on the floor instead of sitting on a rack. to do this i have to use a 90 degrees IEC plug which should arrive shortly. fun project.

Hi Jeremy,
Mouser out of 17A Bourns, any problem with going with the 20 amp if socket is only rated at 10-15 amps.
Thanks,
MM

Thanks Jeremy,
Ended up ordering from Coilcraft. The Q4018-AL 10A ones. Cheapest price to Canada.
