Understanding the problem is so much better than just getting an answer. Now I have an answer and I learned something!
In this case because peak load current can't exceed the CCS limit we preset for it, prediction of AC ripple is much easier because we simply plug CCS Ampere as I_Load in the formula. Losses from theoretical DC rectification level are steady with this kind of regulator. 😉
Finally got my 24v bipolar setup complete. What a great reg - rock solid! I may have to further optimize current draw or find some better suited heat sinks, as M2 is quite hot. Is there a max temperature I can run M2 without performance degradation?
Congrats. Try not to run it with more than 60C on its sink. Not a matter of performance but of heat radiation manageability and long term reliability. M2 won't instantly break before 175C core temperature. Optimize current limit (CCS) setting VS load max mA draw spec first. Leave 100mA headroom between the two.
I went back through and optimized my current limit, based on a more realistic calculation. Instantly brought M2 down by 30C and within optimum range. Thanks again Salas!
Hi, is the GB currently open? Hope so - I've added 1x UltraBiB board and 1x +ve UB minikit to the spreadsheet.
Thanks H

Yes. Still open. Please keep signing up
Gents, I need your help, I get something wrong.
I have a raw DC supply, intended to feed two pos and one neg shunts that share ground on load side.
The negative one is puzzling me. How should I attach it to the raw DC?
Thanks for helping me not shorting the PSU + and -

UltraBiB GB
I hope that the GB#2 for the UltraBiB is still open. I added my name for one 3-PCB set to the list.
I am very pleased with first UltraBiB's I am using.
