Hey JT,
sorry that they are all gone.. maybe i will do a second run with 10 slots in spring. But my girlfriend already hates me, cause she knows how long all this matching will take..

It ist 16 octets as i also counted me in with 2 proper octets. I dont want to get only the mismatching single transistors that will be left in the end, need some proper devices for my projects.

Every participant of this group buy should have received a message.


I could open 10 more slots, but for €50,- for each octet because they are going a bit fast and i am looking for a little reward for some nights of matching all this stuff.


So if there are some people who are willing to pay €50,- (although it may seem unjust) for an octet of matched jfets, then we can buy 400 devices to match. This would mean tighter matches for everyone involved in this group buy.



So while i am collecting the money for the first batch, i am offering 10 new slots for € 50,- each. Shipping is 7,90 for Germany, 9,39 for EU and 14,89 for US.

I ordered the parts yesterday (2019-12-31 7:12 AM CA Time) and they have been posted already. They have been shipped to an agency to repack the item and take care of the customs procedures.



Parts are expected to reach between January 12th and January 20th. After that i will need some time to match them (as my holidays are over by then).



I already ordered a new 40-Pin ZIF Socket to build a new measuring jig, so that 8-10 Jfets can warm up at a time and then be measured one by one. That should speed up things sufficently.

Hey all,


yesterday i received the jFets. I took a sample of 20 pieces and measured them on my old jig. They measure pretty well all over the BL range. That indicates a real factory sealed batch without any cherrypicking before selling. Exactly what we wanted.

There ist one sad thing when i use my old measuring jig, i have to bend the legs of the transistors slightly to fit them in. I dont know where to get a socket with 1,27mm spacing.. So in any case the fets have to be bended and will arrive at your place like shown in the attached picture. If that hurt your feelings please tell me.

I still have to measure 180 pieces and i am still waiting for the esd bags for shipping. I aim to ship everything before the end of january.

It would have make sense to wait for another 10 people to participate and to order a second bag of 200 pieces, as it would be possible to match every set more tightly. But it would delay delivery for at least 4 weeks...


And I had no response at all for 10 more octet slots for €50 each. I understand that it is hard to change rules in the middle of a group buy and so i will start a next group buy thread, after i sorted out this one completely.

Some bits left ...

I measured the whole lot of jfets and let my spreadsheet sort it out. Most octets will be in the 7-10 mA Range, pretty much what everyone wanted. Some people have been asking for 6 mA and others for 10 mA so it should be easy to match everyones needs.

There is still a bunch of work left with sorting the actual octets together, so they can be packed for shipping.



There are a few nice and tight pairs left:



3 x ~ 7.7mA ;

5 x ~8,3 mA ;

3x ~9,3mA ;

3x ~9.6mA ;

6x 10.4mA - 10.9mA


Price for the pair € 15,-. Offer is valid only for those who already ordered their octets. PM me if you need anything.
