GB for DC coupled B1 buffer with shunt PSUs

Spreadsheet INFO

For the DCB1, all you need to sign up for is the DCB1 board itself.

The BiB and minikits are only for the Salas Shunt Reg V.1.1 that's just for standalone power supplies.

The DCB1 board has its own section of the board for a specific shunt reg for the DCB1. No need to order a shunt reg for this unit to work.

Group buy end at close of this Sunday.

Currently Shipping

Here is the shipping DCB1.

There was a lack of white material at the fab house, so the light blue before was not do-able. So here is a rare Hot Rod Black.
Hope nobody is dissapointed that it's not Blue.

Hey, that's a genuine non intended factory batch differentiation case. Reminds the vinyl days wrongly labeled records issue thing. Since they are last of Mohicans very small GB repeat Hypnos, may well be some of the last. If one spare's left I would like to keep it for my collection. Only if really left out in the veeery end.:xfingers:

I ordered 10 spares for the DCB1 'BLACK'

I plan on offering 5 of them as full kits,
with full PRP resistors and Wima bypass's both in red,
Black Panasonic TSHA capacitors, either panasonic FM (black) 100uf of Elna Silimics (with cover removed)
black and white wire connectors, red leds, all transistors.
Black Wirewound 5R 5W resistor
Will be shipped priority mail in US or International at full rate (I think $5.25 US, 14.00 INT).
PM if your interested.
Kit cost is not fixed yet. I still need to get some more 2SK170's on hand, but that should not be an issue.
Caddocks in the signal path instead are another option.

Teabag,
At the level of bias used in this version, what is the recommended heat sink spec?

I have read that the input pot should be 20kOhm. Anyone have a suggestion I can look into?

I will go with the 50wV Antec toroid.

Anyone aware of a tape loop scheme for this?

Looking forward to getting this together. 😀

I'd like a black one of theese spares :yummy: ....

not as a kit , if that cant be done then let it be a full kit ....

I dont have total watt dissapation figures, but at 10R ~ 200ma one should attach to chassis floor. Going below that, additional sinking to the chassis floor or to L-channel attached to chassis floor might be recommended.

20K is the right pot resistance, PEC or a switched attentuator off ebay.
50VA or 100VA antec shielded wire is what I would get.
