GB for DC coupled B1 buffer with shunt PSUs

hi T-Bag,
At the risk of sounding stupid or at best, naive, can I ask if there will be another run of pcbs for this most popular project. If yes I would be interested in two pcs.
If not, there may be someone who has a spare board. If so I'd like to know.
Thanks and regards.
Joe

Sonata149. No worries.
I think another GB for the hot-rod version will occur.
I have a waiting list already started (PM if interested).
It probably wont close out for 3-4 months.
Also-
The Mesmerize one will be offered at some point on Diyaudio site.
And this is a good place to ask if someone has a spare for you.
That's likely your best bet.

Thanks T-Bag for the good news as well as your initiative for this GB.

Some time ago I read through most of the thread but I have now forgotten what the basic differences between the Hypnotize, Mesmerise and now Hot-rodded versions are. If you could point me directly to the relevant post/s for this I'd be delighted.

As regards placing my order I will first ask if there's anyone who has a pcb for this project to spare. I would be much obliged if he/she contacts me for details.

Best regards,
JoeA

Hyp is a single stereo input through a pair of B1 buffers with on board regulated PSU.

Mez is a 6stereo channel, through the same buffer and reg PSU. It also has provision for a PCB attenuator. 6inputs are relay selected.

Hot rod is a more spacious HYP to allow higher dissipation in various devices. That allows higher CCS currents. The standard Hyp can get up to about 9W (+-22V @ ~200mA). By then it is getting pretty hot.

Hi

I just stumbled into this tread, and I'm very much interested to build a DCB1, probably balanced. So, I would like to sign in, but I don't understand much of the spreadsheet & the proper procedure to sign in. Could you please provide me with some information? Thanks in advance!

Hi

I want to build hypnotize DCB1 is it good preamp for FirstWat F5, there is also no caps in signal path. Isnt it a poblem?
what is changet in HOD ROT version

thanks
Martin

You do take your chances doing this, if the DCB1 happens to have a failure. and DC on the wire could fry your speakers.
I use the DCB1 to an F5 without any failure, as have others.
Both are solid if well built. But one builds with a risk.
Butting input caps on the F5 is another option to consider.
