GB for DC coupled B1 buffer with shunt PSUs

@Tea-Bag,

being interested in 3 Blue Hypno boards I would like to know when you might consider a GB for those again?
(I would be willing to help finance this to make this happen easier/earlier)

After long consideration I decided to go for combining Hypno with a remote controlled 6-input selector and (motorized) volume control.

I think that would create a really nice set-up.

Of course implementing this in the to be designed "Ultimate Super Blue Mez board" would be the perfect solution.

JBdV,
The next GB will have to be at Salas approval. This is more his project than mine.
He may decide to release a new version, or find it suitable to go with old style hypno.
The Hypno Blue, and Blue mes, have been relatively low quantity sales, likely because lots of the older board types were sold.

We need demand for 75-100 boards to keep costs down. Something to consider doing next year.

I don't believe you.

5V and 12V relays are available. My preference is to use the higher voltage relay due to it's much lower current consumption.

I use a dual secondary 15+15Vac transformer. It gives adequate Vdrop across the regulator to ensure good +-10Vdc performance.
It also allows a 15V regulator to be used to drive the 12V relays better.

Does anyone know where to get some of the parts in the BOM that are not manufactured any more? For example, the 12V and 5V relays and the decoupling caps in the BOM are no longer available...
thanks,
byron

Byron,

Try Banzai music, they ship quickly and are located in Germany:

Electronic Parts :: Banzai Music

Just use the search engine to find your relays.

Anand.

I am out of the Mesmerize Blue boards.
Out of all Salas reg boards!

Does anyone have a pic showing orientation of the 7 omron relays on the Mezmerize board? Looking at it, at first I thought they would all go the same way as the "omeron" printing on the board, but closer examination it would seem to appear that they wouldnt all go that way, but what the hell do I know?

Thanks,

Russellc
