John, that's the latest one as far as I know.
There is a 'Blue hypnotize' one that would be different, and parts would not fit, so don't even look at that one 🙂

The hot rod parts are not mentioned in this BOM,
so a small Wima cap such as MKP2-.1/250/5 would do for that.
If you want more current, small resistor leads are needed to replace the 68R resistors.
Something like this size from Panasonic, small metal oxide 2Watts. ERG-2SJ200

Thanks that's fab 😀

I'll probably build it as standard first, get a handle on its sound then hotrod it at a later stage, but I'll make a note of those components for future reference.

Got the original Pass B1 PCB finished yesterday so getting used to how that sounds at the moment. Looking forward to seeing how better it can sound without the input/output caps and Sala's shunt PSU with that blue Mez board!

Cheers!

Wishful thinking.🙂 A Mez or old Hypno is better tuned at lower currents than a Blue Hypno that is tuned best only for higher currents. Now, higher currents are better in both. Best in Blue Hypno. The difference are subtle when both are hot rod mode non the less.

Sorry Salas, you're totally confused me here 😕

"A Mez will play better in low currents"

"A Mez...is better tuned at lower currents"

You then say, "Now, higher currents are better in both"

Erm - which is it? I'll be receiving the blue Mez board next week and want to make sure I build it correctly.

Many thanks,

- John

When all are chosen to be playing in lower currents, the Mez is tuned a bit better subjectively. All play better in higher currents. In higher currents the Blue Hypno is tuned a bit better. I hope this makes better sense.
