Gabster TD1

I do this by using two pieces of copper heatsink that cover most of the chip's surface.

If you gents are keen to experiment share with u a simple test. Stick on top of Tda a thin copper foil cut to same size, solder a wire onto the foil & solder the other end to the Dgn pin of Tda & share your findings pls
I did that test month ago , and I didn't notice any change in sound , but I got a little more noise on the FFT measurement , the temperature stability of the chip is 45° C obtained after +/-20 min

I have mine built:
I am waiting for my power supply to come, should be here soon and then will do a test run. Wish me luck…
What did you wind up using for power supplies?

I have some Salas BiB 1.1 reg boards that I was going to use for this. The +5 0 -5 voltage is no problem but I wonder about the 15V supply. I believe @Gabster 2000 said in his video that he swapped the positive and negative for that supply so I'm questioning if I should use a + side reg board and connect it as shown or use a - side and connect the ground to the +15 and the negative voltage output to the 0V pad

I used Salas BiB 1.3 for 15V and yes, you just need to follow what the board indicates --- connect + to +.
For +/-5V I used two sets of UcPure. Overall it worked great!

Finished my Gabster dac a few days ago. With all Gaby's information and guidance it was fairly easy to build for this newbie. The sound is amazing. So far I like it better than my Schiit Yggy+ OG. That is really saying a lot. Thank you Gaby for sharing this project and for all the guidance you give. You and your ion-canada videos are what got me started in DIY about a year ago. I have learned a lot and had a lot of fun.

Hello, I ordered the td1 from Gabster. Now I'm faced with the same problem as to which power supply to use. UC Pure is very expensive for me in Germany. LinearPi Pro from ian for the 5+ 5- would be an option. But what do I do with the 15V? I read about the Salas BiB 1.3 here for the first time. What do you think?

Salas 1.3 is really good. I just had a leftover to use here, you may as well just use whatever that is convenient…
