Who's ordered @Gabster 2000 's TD1 board? I ordered two so I'm curious who else is building this one?

I'm curious to see how it sounds. Nothing ventured, nothing gained I guess. I like it because you can stack it, run it balanced, stack it with @iancanada 's streamers. I wanted to see how that output stage sounded also.
I don't have the experience to layout a board based on all the proven facts for a best result so I rely on other released boards. I have @ryanj 's D3 with his logic board that I will build as well and @batteryman 's board. I have a set of @EUVL 's SEN IV boards for another output option and plan to buy the Sowter 1465 OPT's https://www.sowter.co.uk/specs/1465.php to see if I like that sound vs the onboard options or the SEN boards.

Wonder how many gabsters are gonna say oh $hit when they get their pcbs, kit or soldered board (600$ 🤣). Man, i do hate yt content thats bullcrap. So easy to shill bad/overpriced product. (I even spent few minutes to watch the video with jumps, man, suuuuuuuuuch bull$hit).Urrrr, the order page says the actual tda1541 chip is not included...
PS. in the comments he is also avoiding the topic of dac chip purchase. Man, this is going to be so much fun to watch unfold.

Better to go with the guy who found about the op861 as I/V imho.

Hi, can you give me few of those facts?Yeah, no... There are a lot of well know facts about building a proper tda1541a dac, also solid made ones here, i don't see why would anyone go for that one...
Just asking because i am going for Ryanj d3 board at some point, and also beginner so always looking to learn more..
One of those facts i would say is low DEM clock frequency, with film caps i think it will be too high.. What others?
DEM clocking aside (ends up being subjective), ryanj board is much better designed. There are power and gnd planes/islands (stackup is much better), power supply next to load, component choice is better. For 50HZ DEM it's ok to space caps out a bit, but for small value caps (high hz clock), it should be as close and small as possible to pins to reduce parasitics (0805, 1206 caps). We are living in an era where that is possible...
What i see here is gabster using his "chakra opening" wisdom and viewership to shill subpar product that is grossly overvalued.

@Brijac I agree with what you're saying. It definitely makes sense.
I think this is just his interpretation of a working board that he wanted others to experience. As far as the price goes, it's all relative. It's obviously not his day job, he's put his free time into it and is just looking to recoup some of it I think. For me, it's all about the journey. I like the through hole part, and the ufl connectors. It's got some cool features to it.
I'd love to commission a board that let's me feed the DAC chips with I2s then converts to simultaneous mode while running two in parallel per channel with a balanced output. I can do all that with an I2s receiver and the D3 boards I guess but it would be cool to minimize the board and module count

They're are eBay, and I think there are a few in the states not just China. No idea if there are any in Australia.I ordered two of Gabby's TD1 PCBs and will give one a try, if I like it I will also make the second so I can have balanced out.
BUT I need 1 or 2x Phillips TDA1541A DAC chips. Does anyone know where I could find one or two?

This is who I bought some from https://www.ebay.com/itm/226258880306
This is a legit seller and they are NOS from the same batch so you have a better chance of it sounding better when building balanced.

WOW I never realised TDA1541 DAC chips were so expensive, even the standard A version. Gabby uses the S2 double crown version and I was hoping to find a legit S1 single crown version. The ones from china don't seem legit but still ask the high price. Thank you very much sbelyo, yes I agree looks likes a legit seller and if I cannot find a S1 single crown version I will buy from him. And thank you Clausen and zoom777, more options for me to search.
Yeah I'd be very careful buying anything from China....I never get scammed, well almost never, but I saw an ad on Facebook a couple years ago, that was almost ten time cheaper to a product I was looking at, I mean a $15 part that normally sells for well over $100, and I bought it, and instantly knew I just got screwed...I mean $15 dollars but I was pretty pissed at myself for how stupid I was....I guess it was the fact it was almost nothing, maybe that a new scam brewing...lol...I got the part, it was for a folding stock for an AR-15, and they were actually ripping off the actual manufacturer, by that I mean they were copying it and selling a Air soft version and I contacted the actual manufacturer in the US and they told me, "don't put that on your AR, it will blow the handle off!"The ones from china don't seem legit
LOL...I guess we all need reminders to keep us on our toes...I got the part though, its still sitting in the box it came in and I never opened it... haha If it seems too good to be true, it almost certainly is! Of course I would have been a lot more careful had it been any real money! Still, it made me feel like a dunce!
Well he is still have a long way to go to learn how to extract the most out of the TDA, hell even Guru Pedja is still making refinements todayso that's the audial board that let you this choice with uf-l connectors - imho. And still tht holes at the end of the dac chip for those wanting to use third party I/V boards.
But no 50 hz DEM, which the author never seen an (sounding) opportunity in it...
