You could always put an X in it - Simplexio!!
Then we have Destroyer-X, Explendid, and Simplexio!

I loved all names...the C U is nice but has some other meaning in portuguese...
Sheldon idea to join Dx, Simplício and splendid was great.
Grimberg idea was "splendid"
Fast Eddy was great too...despite the meaning in portuguese not beeing so nice...but good to remember too.
Lets vote guys....please, post your votes.
At least those that are written in this forum will vote, and maybe more guys will cooperate.
I will post my vote:
Ximple is my vote
the winner will be the name

the name with more hits, with more votes, will be the decided name.... simple this way...fully democratic procedure.
But.... to be decent with you all....to talk deep true...i have to tell you dear friends, that i made testings yesterday, comparison with my class D system.
Have to tell you.....really i have to tell you.... the class D smashed Simple Simplício CU dx amplifier..... and was in the treble range that this happened (very common to happen here in my home).
The class D (switching pulse width, Fets working turning on and off with different timing....and a passive filter in the output...passive!!!! can you believe that?)...the class D loose in power and in bass...and related dinamics....also in voices i prefer the simple amplifier...but in treble, as usual, the Phillips class D was effective as a Catterpillar.... runned over the simple as a Mack truck.... i will have to tell you all also.
The class D, this one, has absolutelly none sound stage...just stereo image...but hard....extremelly separated and sound source is the speakers....that difference in deep was hard to perceive...it works in phase oposition, to avoid supply voltage losses...to ballance power consumption.... speakers are inverted phase one related the other...and have perfect position to work without cancelling bass.
This is very common to happen here., at my home, reason why i use to keep this "killer" system near my bed....as this Phillips is very well matched with their speakers, despite having any sound stage (it is awfull in sound stage) it reproduces a very nice sonics, in special in the treble....and this is very uncommon to class D as i know.
I remember that i asked many times Mr. Michael Bittner and Mr. John Mateus and also Hugh Dean, to go to a shop to listen those toys.... Hugh Dean did testing with a class D chip and was very impressed too...but he fast change his mind after deeper listening tests....Mr John Mateus was very impressed but give up to buy not to kill his hobby of amplifier assembling....Mr. Michael Bittner had listened in some shopping...but i do not know what he perceived as he was extremelly biased , those early days, related his own amplifier those days.....John Mateus was angry because Philips had used cheap speakers with the amplifier, he was very well impressed with the sound quality.
I have to tell you that normally ALL amplifiers i use to test, loose for that damn Philips...and this turns me very confused, as those class D systems had not that fame...and for sure it deserves.
Many amplifiers were compared with this class D...and i have to tell you that always it had reproduced sound with quality.... all my local friends thinks the same about that...they have heard comparison and 50 percent of my Club friends (4 in 8 guys) have bougth the unit....scandall....it cost only 400 dollares!

Sheldon...by the way, how you call Percloreto de Ferro in English
Iron Chloride?....someone asked me and i could not say the name.
The copper corrosion material we use here, to home use, is dark brown and is bougth inside plastic bags.
It is Higroscópic.... it absorbs watter fast.
When you mix it with watter the temperature rises very fast and the result is something that looks alike Coke
When used, color turn ligth.... and some green is observed when copper is chemically absorbed by that material.
It is poison to humans...and it is hard to remove the ligth brown color from your fingers, in special were you have dead skin.
It corrodes some kind of metalic finishment people made in pavement ceramics.... floor ceramics...ceramics lost its brigth.
.....................................................................................................
Returning to the listening tests made, in comparison with the class D system.
Of course the class D system is not linear, it has a lot of surrounds and fooling rounds to us...it may be sligthly louder in treble.
So....what i did.... in the differential feedback input you have a series of resistor and electrolitic condenser to ground.... in parallell with that resistor i have installed a 100n capacitor....this increase the treble volume and i could compare in a more fair way.
Really, more focus and precision in the digital one...Absurd that?
Yeah!...i think so!

Carlos

The board is beeing corroded... and going slowly
Keeping the air temperature...the environment temperature, the corrosion delay 15 to 25 minutes.
When overheated, around 50 degrees celsius.... the corrosion is made in a matter of 4 to 6 minutes...but some ink parts are removed when you "cook" the corrosion material.

Carlos

I hope you can explain that Sheldon...you are good related those things.
You can see that the corrosion material goes turning green...not more Coke colour....this means it is saturated with diluted copper i imagine...and corrosion turns slow or stop entirelly.
I put a white sheet of paper under, so you can evaluate colour too.
Hey John Mateus...you can explain the product name too..you born in Portugal...hehe..some years ago...hehe
Grimberg.... is it easy to find this product in USA?... do you know the name Grimberg?
regards.

Re: Sheldon...by the way, how you call Percloreto de Ferro in English
Two commonly used chemicals used for etching:
1. Iron(III) chloride, ferric chloride (FeCl3)
Systematic name Iron(III) chloride
Other names ferric chloride
iron trichloride
molysite mineral form
Flores martis
Molecular formula FeCl3
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron(III)_chloride
2. Sodium persulfate (Na2S2O8) ... Natrium Sulfur Oxygen
Systematic name Sodium persulfate
Other names:
sodium peroxodisulfate
sodium peroxodisulphate
sodium peroxydisulfate
sodium peroxydisulphate
Molecular formula Na2S2O8
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_persulfate

For myself, I use FeCl3, Ferric Chloride.
It is easier to find, and easy to use when etching Copper PCB.
You should warm to an etching temperature of like 50 C.
Be careful using Aluminium kettles! ... will ecth your kettle!
I think Steel Kettle is to prefer, if you have.
( Likewise, of course, do not use your old Copper Coffee cooker! 😀 )

The most commonly used circuit board etching chemical if ferric cloride (FeCL). FeCl method ies easy and cheap, but a little messy. Another possible chemical for the PCB making is Sodium Persulphate. It is somewhat more expensive and less messy and available on some electronics component sources. Sodium Persulphate starts of clear, turns blue like copper sulphate solution. It works quicky and with less mess than FeCl. There is also possibility to use acid based etching solutions (for example 700 ml of water + 200ml 37% HCl + 50ml 30% hydrogen peroxide). A useful tip, etching boards upside down some distance from the bottom is considderably quicker than etching copper side up. Sometimes there could be need to free the bubbles which accumulate under the boardfrom time to time by moving the board. Or you can simply adjust the board holding system to leave the board at a tilt of a few degrees.Standing on edge is probably the ideal for circuit board etching. Now add a bubbler at the low end (something like an aquarium air pump with moderate pressure and a long, fine-pored airstone or a plastic tube with many tiny holes). Addid the bubbler means that the fluid moves a bit more aggressively and keeps the bubbles from settling on any area of the etch. And finally, arrange heat to keep the solution temperature 10C or so above room temp.
For myself, I use FeCl3, Ferric Chloride.

I guess I'm too late, line up gave you the answer already.
The product you use is in fact "Ferric chloride", the one that messes up
you clothing, corrots your scredriver if you touch it and makes your wife really mad when she sees the spots of Ferric chloride on your clothes
that don't come out.....

I( will tell ya a secret...nobody will listen...i love when my wife turns mad
with anything....hummmm...delicious!
Life pleasure man!
Pepper is also a condiment...hehe
Here a detail of the copper lines already with solder..... the flux is keept there as it will be helpfull to solder the parts.
When finish the assemblage (assembling...construction...hummm) i will clean everything and will inspect with lenses.

Alcohol...called here Isopropilic. to remove grease from Kerozene...yeah!...aviation fuel...
A high degree alcohol will work (95 degrées in liquid form)...even Wiskie may do the work (can drink some also..but not the Johnnie Walker black label please!)

People did not vote...so....al names are possible for a while.
Except this awfull name your sadic side is creating now...hehe
I have uploaded the schematic here:

Click over the Simplicio image....now click in download...next click in "original resolution"
The parts numbers Mateus decided are there, and will be needed to follow his art work that i will publish now.
The board size is 115 by 68 milimeters
