Shock horror they are not braced at all although there is a timber frame inside. I followed the Harbeth thin walled method, in theory having thin panels with damping sheets of similar thickness pushes speaker resonance down into regions it won't spoil the music as opposed to thick heavily braced speakers which push resonance up above the presence area.
Seems to work for me, I will leave the experts to argue over that
When you get around to veneering practice on something smaller first it can be difficult but the results can be really good.
The recommended design for this speaker is a TL which I would guess would go down another 10hz or so.

Hmmm. Guess I need to do some research about thin-walled speakers. But I am a bit partial to TLs...
Was just talking about thin walls over on another thread, these speakers are interesting.

Never heard of the Aucharm P810. Comments about the sound? And that's an interesting box. Did you design it?

Pluvia 7s in Derwent enclosures in their final home. They were given away as a gift and I will miss them. The amplifier is a TPA3116 board with a bluetooth module that I have added.

Compact T-Line
Here is my new, portable pair of laptop speakers.
It's a 121cm tube folded into a box. The layers of 3mm-thick MDF are laser-cut.
The output is pretty sweet, dry and clear. The stereo imaging is perfect.
Frequency response is acceptable from 35Hz to 20KHz (with some EQ). It's pretty linear from 400Hz to 17KHz.
Power supply: 5VDC (Laptop USB)
Amp module: PAM8403
Driver: 2.5" full-range with treated paper cone
FR: 35-20KHz
Cheers - Ali

2.1 Markaudio CHR-70, Tangband W4-792sj FAST
CHR-70's assisted by Tangband W4-792sj.
Amplifier: TPA3116D2 2.1 amp (ebay).
I have used the CHR-70's in many "budget" projects before so i'm not surprised that they deliver as expected. The W4-792sj gives the system a push in the bass department. Tuned to ~50Hz in a bass reflex setup.
Best regards H@kan
