Hi,
My first experience with fullrange. It ist Sonido SWR200alnico (8" paper cone with 12% wool) in BR 52 Liter. Cabinet from birch plywood and massive wood (alder).
Sound:
Natural and smooth midrange. Big, deep stage, very impressive 3d-effect. Vocals specialy from old records and piano are outstanding dynamic and clear.
Many thanks to Ishtvan Varga - the manufacturer and audio anthusiast for helps and advices.

Hi Sergii
Those spks look very nice. Congrats.
I have had half an eye on Sonido drivers for a while. Their lines of drivers appear well developed. From your photo it looks like the 8" SWR has a relatively large whizzer; interesting. I may just have to look into these drivers a little further.
Again, nicely done.
Cheers

Hi Raymond,
Thanks. It`s Sonido SWR200A (8") with AlNiCo-magnet, designed for BR-application (SFR line for BLH-application). SWR has the same whizzer like a SFR. A little more Qts-0,39, more Mms-12,6 g, less SPL-93 db).
I`m realy happy with it. Very emotional sound, but also correct, nothing shouts. My old speakers Bowers 804 are now for sale
The secret is in the paper con from cellulose with wool.
Sergii
Thanks Sergii. I like emotional sound in which "nothing shouts". Now I am even more curious.
Well done. Enjoy.

Hemp FR8C
Hi,
here is my Hemp FR8C project.
The cabinet is based on the Hemp Apra Grande.
I have made some modifications.
The stands are made from metal and filled with concrete.
I also added a traxtric horn with BMS 4524L driver.
This speaker sounds very nice in big rooms.
The Hemp makes plenty of bass.

Nice work on the horns, but that is beast on an enclosure for those Fostex. Which design is that? Good work.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Nice builds Alejandro.
I've got a pair of Flat 5's looking for a cabinet. Do you like yours? Care to share the design?
Excellent work!
Hemp FR8C with BMS 4550 Horn
Here is my small Hemp FR8C Speaker with a BMS 4550 traxtric horn.
The horn is fully made from wood.
The diameter of the horn is 36 cm.
This speaker I made for my small listening room.
I still not finish the holder of the horn, and also not spray the hole speaker.
But I am very happy with the sound quality of this combination.
The sound stage is very detailed and open.
Even the Hemp FR8C is able to deliver a strong bass, even in this small cabinet.

My Fostex FX120's
Good evening chaps.
I've recently finished building a pair of Fostex FX120 based full range speakers for my flat and thought I'd share the end result.
They're infinite baffle, constructed from a cherry wood veneered ply and tulip wood inlay banding. The inlay took an age to cut in.
This is my first speaker build and I very nearly mitred my index finger whilst making the cuts. was it worth it? Absolutely😀, I'm extremely happy, they sound and look great.
Thanks to James for all his advice on drivers, cabinet volume, construction, materials, finish etc.
