I am selling off my "stash." As requested by the mods, I have consolidated to one thread. I hope this is satisfactory. (For what it's worth, I am not a commercial business. Like most of you, I am just a hobbyist with an obsession and hoarding mentality. :cool: )

I also solemnly swear that I will not "bump" this thread, but I will update it periodically as new things are dug out of the speaker hoarding dungeon I call "my workshop." Every mad scientist needs a lab or a workshop.

Thank you all! I truly appreciate all of the folks who keep this buying and selling forum up and running, friendly, and productive.

Cheers!

Up first!

Peerless/Advent 5/8" dome tweeters. I have 40 pairs available. Maybe use in a line array?

They are compact and very similar to the Advent Baby II polymer dome tweeters. They were used on the newer Advent "Millennium" series speakers and they sound very very good. They have a mesh screen with phase plug mounted behind the screen. They are 8 ohm, Here are the stats:
Fs = 1342 Hz
Re = 5.89 ohm
Zmax = 8.59 ohm
Qms = 1.104
Qes = 2.408
Qts = .757
Le = .079 mH @ 10 KHz

Great for DIY or replacements.

Minebea/Onkyo/AR Dome Tweeters $40/pr shipped.
I have about a dozen of these tweeters. . Used on the AR XP Series, which are totally under-rated speakers, IMO. I have the ARXP62 bookshelves and they hit WAY above what the market deems their value is.

AR Acoustic Research XP series tweeter, semi-horn loaded with 10mm deep front flange. 1" Textile Dome Tweeter.

Used in the Acoustic Research XP series (models ARXP42, ARXP52, ARXP62, ARXP242C, ARXP408 and ARXP410P) and was manufactured by NMB Minebea Onkyo. It is designed for rear mounting with a 10mm baffle thickness (see dimensional drawing). The AR XP series used a sculpted foam to surround the tweeter. This is a great sounding supertweeter design, with frequency response extended from below 800Hz to nearly 40kHz. Recommended crossover is 12dB/octave at 2-3kHz for best performance.

  • Active surround style diaphragm with 33mm outer diameter, supertweeter frequency response out to 40kHz
  • Pre-coated textile diaphragm for improved consistency
  • Damped cavity in pole for lower resonance frequency and reduced distortion
  • Ferrofluid cooled voice coil for improved power handling
  • Optimized horn loaded face plate for linear response
  • Magnetically shielded with bucking magnet and steel shielding cup
  • 105mm diameter face plate (4.125")
  • 80mm diameter hole size (3.15")
  • 36.2mm depth (1.4")
  • Frequency response 800Hz-40kHz
  • Recommended Frequency Range 2kHz-40kHz
  • DCR 4.5 ohms
  • Fs 750Hz
  • Efficiency 94dB @ 2.83V/1m
  • Efficiency 92dB @ 1W/1m
  • Rated Power Handling 100WRMS via EIA RS-426B for 8 hours with passive crossover
  • See diagram, frequency response, impedance and distortion curves in uploaded pictures for additional information regarding this excellent 1" silk dome tweeter.

AR Argon/Recoton 1" textile dome tweeters
$40/pr shipped
These tweeters are a bit of a mystery, but they measure well and sound amazing. They are Italian made by Argon, which was a division of Recoton. I'm keeping a few of these for myself, but I have about 3 pairs available. They were also meant to be mounted under a decorative flange or acoustic foam, but frankly, they don't need it. They sound great "naked". Unshielded also.

Measured Specs (YMMV):
Fs = 1137 Hz
Re = 6.56 ohm
Zmax = 10.18 ohm
Qms = 1.763
Qes = 3.200
Qts = 1.137
Le = 0.079 mH @ 10 kHz

AR VP Series 1" soft dome tweeters $40/pr shipped
These are 4 ohm nominal tweeters. Slightly higher Fs, and shielded magnet.
They were used on the AR VP Series speakers and typically were paired with smaller cone drivers in an MTM arrangement with a higher crossover point. The face plat is also designed in a semi-horn loaded fashion and was meant to be rear mounted and/or with acoustic foam around the edge. I have about 10 pair of these.

Measured Specs (YMMV):
Fs = 2153 Hz
Re = 3.54 ohm
Zmax = 4.72 ohm
Qms =1.195
Qes = 3.580
Qts = 0.896
Le = 0.035 mH @ 10 kHz

Hi all!

Adding an item or two to this list.

AR 10" shielded woofers. Poly cones. Foam surrounds are in excellent shape. Great for use as a powered subwoofer. Relatively low sensitivity of around 87 dB. Shielded.

Here are the measured specs (YMMV)::

Fs = 30.95 Hz
Qms = 3.277
Vas = 68.49 ltrs (2.419 cu ft)
n0 = .26%
Mms = 64.5 grams
Re = 3.87 ohms
SPL = 86.31 db (1w/1m)
Piston Diameter = 209.6 mm
Zmax = 21.13 ohms
Qts = .601
Le = .362 mH

These speakers can be found in several of AR's later series including the PS, S, HO, and AW Series. They are ideal for a sealed enclosure of approximately 1.8 cu ft. But they are versatile and I have run simulations with ported enclosures too.

For you distributed bass or DIY guys, these would make nice bottom end drivers with a low <200 Hz crossover point.

$125/pr shipped to your door. I have multiple pairs available.

AR PS Series 8" Shielded woofers, poly cones. NOS. Very versatile within the PS series. I don't have any specs on them at the moment, but will plan to get them tested with the Dayton analyzer when I can.

Model D01-0007

$75/pr shipped to your door. I have multiple pairs.

Quick update, only qty 3 of the Peerless 831773 woofers left, and qty 3 of the Peerless 831791 woofers. According to the NHT rep, they were supposed to have the same specs, but different basket flange. The cone assembly and magnet look to be visually the same. Make me an offer for all 6 and experiment!

Do you have T/S on the Peerless 831773

I measured one of mine and this is what I got:

Peerless 831773 AKA NHT M100 midwoofer
