Hi all
I'm most way through a FH3 build. Managed to find answers to all questions through the various threads and some very helpful email support from Chris.
Still a little hazy on the damping however. Refering to the pdf plan and pictures throughout this post I've given it a go, just wondering if someone could look at these pics and tell me if I'm on track?
I have increased the density toward the bottom of the V and spaced some out below the driver. Any good?

Cheers dave. Second post was a repost, I didnt see the first one come up.
I'm making the top removable for adjustment. It would be best of course to get it close to correct first time round though.

Jdot, having a removable part helps, so good call!
I had this simple thought today....... it went like this.
"...... I need to build a set of these........."

Talked to Dave. Apparently there's a few here in Toronto that I can go listen to possibly. Regardless, I think I'm really leaning towards these for the HT.
Q: is the curved sweep on the back critical or can it be modified for "aesthetic" reasons?
About to order the alpair 7s very soon..... 🙂

It is functional. Thr curve helps to make the high aspect ratio mouth look more like a square to the exiting wavefront.

I understand that there is a bit of free time on the CNC machine next week.... so assembly after that!

No. Larger ones are prving a real tuff nut to crack. Bigger drivers really require larger boxes (assumming the driver is suitable to being fitted into a horn).

...She still thinks watching HDTV requires a surround system....
Excuse me for going OT, I'm planning on building a pair of these soon, was reading through looking out for any pitfalls, or tips, when I saw the above gem.
This is genius... I wish I'd thought of that.

I see, I thought perhaps there might be a "Bruce" or "Sachiko" offspring in Mk3... How about 6.5" version?
Thanks,
Jaz
