Ryani,
I love the FIBs! They look just like art prints on a frame. If you were to lightly spraypaint the black drivers white no one would ever know!
I also like what you did with the wall mount MLTL's. They have some pretty deep bass extension don't they? One song in particular that blew me away is Bruce Springsteen's the Streets of Philadelphia. If you have it, listen to it on these speakers - just amazing.
Also really like the stealth Lepai. I was thinking for a library, one could hollow out an old book or make a fake book from foam core to house the amp.
Wait a second... what about a stealth speaker that looks like a book?
Congrats.

Thanks but the credit has to go your way with the design.
You are on to something with a stealth book enclosure. Foamcore wrapped in a old "goodwill" book spine and dustcover.
I do have that song I'll have to give it a go. I played a little counting crows through them the other nite and it blew me away. My mother should be impressed. I think she will like the kids' artwork equally. You know grand kids can do no wrong.

I added an index to quickly point to designs based in foam core at the first post. If there is a design you would like me to add to the index send me a PM.

PS403
Cal,
Is the PS403 your creation? It's a 15" Woofer and round compression horn in a floor standing cabinet. Can't quite read all the label but the Mfg starts with letters WEL...
(Address was 9400 N Royal Lane, Irving, TX I believe that is the address of an electronics distributor now.)

@ryani,
Those speakers look awesome!
Amp in a puzzle box is such a cool idea.
Well done!
Cheers,
Alex

Speaking of speakers that look like a book... I just saw this in another thread: the Vox80 http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/full-range/234401-diy-speakers-similar-visaton-vox80.html I would do it with a Vifa TC9FD with the port firing forward, or up.
Thanks for the kind words Alex. I thought my mother would get a kick out of it.
X- that box idea is cool!

...fun set of speakers for the kitchen. The Mrs. highly approved when I came up with putting a print on the front. Found a 36"x24" print and split it down the middle and then cropped the top and bottom to fit
Nice work indeed. 🙂
Missed this one. No, speakers are just a hobby for me. Well...an addiction actually. 🙂Cal,

I stumbled over an idea that might be fun to decorate one of these foam core builds:

Wesayo,
Is that a circular disc 6 channel Cornu speaker pictured? Was sure if someone built the "puck" as Cal calls it.

My latest wall-mount MLTL speaker will have a non-foam core (gasp) masonite baffle. I designed it loosely based on the TABAQ but modified using the Accidental MLTL technique. The design in the the AMLTL thread http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/full-range/231951-accidental-mltl-technique-16.html#post3466655. Construction is still under way.
Here is what I have so far.

Looks like one! Check out the link in his post. He's very creative with basic common household materials.
Cialis? Close, but not quite... it is a cylindrical Dollar Tree synthetic chamois cloth container. It happens to be exactly 2 in dia and up to 6 in long. I trimmed to 4.18 in with knife. When I saw the containers, I knew immediately they would come in handy as speaker vents and saved them. 🙂

Nah, don't think so, I found it here: Was sind eure aktuellen Projekte ?, Lautsprecher - HIFI-FORUM (Seite 16)
That's after the Cialis?2 in dia and up to 6 in long.
Ouch!I trimmed to 4.18 in with knife.
Wesayo,
the thread says it is a TL - I wonder what it looks like inside? Probably a spiral of some sort. Good to see they like the Vifa TC9FD! My favorite all purpose driver.
