Finally, an affordable CD Transport: the Shigaclone story

Good job with the boards Oleg! Will you be sharing the gerbers or selling the boards? I have several broken Shigas, I might be able to salvage the chips from them or from the EZ31 I just bought if I had a new pcb. I think it would be great for the community if there was a way to build more of them. Do you happen to know a reliable source for the chips? I've bought some from Aliexpress, from vendors who have sold me genuine obsolete transistors in the past. As far as I know there is no easy way to test if they are counterfeits.

About boards
I think the best way a find the complete boards from iTiberius
Because cost if you build that with many parts at himself is very highly
Buy boards
Buy chips
Buy resistors and capasitors
Buy crystal clock
Buy display
And more and more

Working donor some like jvc 31 is low cost for build this project

First and second mods on this draw in attachment

On MKII version is little different design by ITiberius

I draw with better place 680pf and transistor near chip for better reading of the CD-R and SACD

I am looking for the exact model naming of the associated SANYO mechanism for pick up (laser) units as follow:
1) SF-P101 (here I have found only various versions from SANYO's DA series e. g. "DA11V" - go to datasheet under
https://www.tradeeasy.com/home/aceltd/425678/DA11VZ.pdf
and DA11T3C - no datasheet to find - only mentioned under
https://www.classic-serviceparts.com/(S(wxshwp32jvcicvermhurtm1x))/Download/20170110_laser.)
2) SF-P1 (no information)
3) SF-90 (no information)
4) SF-91 (no information)
Unfortunately the Vasiltech overview don't mention this - only the types of optical pick up is to find.
Maybe one of the members know this.
On the mechanism, which is to replace there is no sticker for reading the model resp. type No (like to observe on SONY mechanism from KSL/KSM series for KSS laser units).
Thanks for any advice.
Maybe with help of all datasheets one get an answer to the question under

Same heads
2) SF-P1 (без информации) - plastic case
3) SF-90 (без информации) - metal case
4) SF-91 (без информации) - metal case with connector

This is old versions of SF-P101
His used in CEC2100/3100/5100 and more old CDs

Dear Tiefbassuebertr
Please attach photo of your head and mechanism

I haven't laser heads and mechanism, but nevertheless I want to have the datasheets of often used mechanism. In the attachment some images of SANYO's mechanism for SF-P101N, SF-P1, SF-90 and SF-91.

I think my version of design is not original ShigaClone 2012
Wow wow wow…
I get this one main design from Europe forum
🙈🙈🙈

Maybe this is middle version between Shiga2012 and ShigaMKII ?

You may also want to look around for a boombox donor, they still crop up occasionally. The old LCDs were strictly superior to the Tibi remake (even though he did a great job, it was a titanic effort to even make it work as just suitable parts were no longer manufactured at that point). But the originals did have much better viewing angles (also in my private opinion their backlight was a nicer colour, better for night listening).
