Hmm, the 47 lab flat fish ??? (the most expensive one ) or maybe it was their lesser model was so fu...ng boring and lifeless that I asked twice if they added one zero by mistake to the price .

Yes please!
I ordered my boombox yesterday (50 euro's in the Netherlands). Keep up the excellent work guys.
Peter, I presume there is no English version of the polish discussion on the EZ31 mods?

Thanks Walter, the guys at sharefix are cleaning the database right now, so it could be a bit slow sometime...

It is possible to have this transport directly connected to a DAC cip ?
BTW, as far I remember same chips are used in TEAC CDP1250 feeding a Samsung dac.

Tibi

Yes, the transport can be connected directly to the DAC.
Thanks for posting manual. I located the service manual in October, hawever, the version I had "did not describe SPECIFIC SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS" so all mods were performed without the actual schematics. Having them now, more changes could be expected.
Now we also know what B may stand for 😉

Well my order placed at savinglots.com was too good to be true, paypal just notified me of the refund so back to ground zero.. 🙁
The search continues...
How about information on the RCEZ32S?

I'll keep my fingers crossed on the RCEZ32, it appears very similar except that it has a digital tuner, it is also discontinued.. Will see whether or not it uses the same chipset and mechanism when I get it.
Sadly the RCEZ31 is just about unobtainium around here.

Went to 3 local shop and none have the JVC. 🙁
An online shop has the RC-EZ33A which look very similar to RC-EZ31A. It seems to have something extra. Anyone know what is "Programme (20 Tracks)" mean?
I think we should ask Walter B politely to gather and submit all the service manuals from recent JVC boomboxes and then we'll find out were they hid the gold.

He is out...shopping JVC's...'cos he know for sure which ones to buy

there seems to be considerable difficulty in locating this boom-box.
are these not the correct ones?

They are, however I think if you investigate further you will find none of them actually have this model any longer. It's been discontinued for a year or so.
I thought I found one last week at a company that claimed on their site that it was still in stock, but the cancellation of my fully paid order this afternoon tells me otherwise. No explanation or apology either. So I can't recommend savinglots.com based on my experience.
I just bought an RC-EZ32 on eBay which may have the same boards in it. I will have it in a week or so, (I have received notification that it has shipped already) and will advise if this is the case. Hopefully I will be lucky. I believe the major difference between this and the EZ31 is a digital tuner, but I could be wrong. It was cheap enough that it was worth the risk.
