I'm considering a dedicated audio pc, where there is no other pci device and possibly without usb too.

It takes 12V, which gives us plenty of choice in the dedicated psu (battery, linear etc). Or, easier, just putting some caps between the molex and the miniconnector that the Essence uses.

Considering that recent quality computer psus have very low ripple on the 12V line (cause it goes to cpu and video cards), a couple of caps can be all we need 🙂
