Fiberglass?

I don't know what fiberglass looks like.
So I'm guessing. Is it fiberglass?(see photo)
this cloth is from cheap school/travel bag.

Or you can use pillow stuffing (polyester fill)
Depending on what is available to you, there a few different things you can use, including foam, old rags etc.

thanks cal. i heard that fiberglass is best for sealed enclosure. i'll try hard to get fiberglass. seems available & not much expensive.

That is carbon fiber for layering for strength or wrapping for looks. It is not good for stuffing speakers.

Will probably be plastic if from cheap school bag, not carbon. Could be OK if shredded to pieces, but would be impractical, IMO.

Hi, it seems you live near sea beach
Unfortunately i am far away from sea.
i am thinking about sound absorbing tiles.
Fiberglass/mineral ceiling tiles.
Do you think these will work well?

You need fibreglass loft insulation as in the attached photo if you are looking for an absorbent in a loudspeaker enclosure.

Galu has shown it. Problem is that in West Bengal, fiberglass batt is not exactly a hot commodity, except maybe as appliance wraps?
Hence why I mentioned old textiles or what have you. Pressed fibre ceiling tiles will work, cardboard egg cartons etc.

As mentioned, pillow stuffing may be available perhaps, and then foam padding for under carpets for attaching to the inside walls.

Wouldn’t suggest to use fabric however, regardless of it’s fibers.

Cal, it was just an inquiry. I had very little knowledge about fiberglass. Polyfill, cotton batting & other stuff very much available here.

what type of glue/ adhesive i should use?
i have used these with mdf successfully--

spray contact adhesive and staples - using an electrical or air powered stapler
