Since you start to play with iron you should add one to the NMOS source. 😉

yes, Patrick , I have thoughts about that , but then remembered that our Mr. MR already did hilariously MoFo
🙂
🙂
should I underline known fact that Edcors are cheaper than shipping from factory?
not that shipping is expensive

Anyone have plans for a 100+ db speaker? 🙂
No seriously, do you?
Cornscala, Cornscala? | Critesspeakers.com There are four versions to choose from. I like the idea of the 2 way myself with a 2" driver. Then it is easy to find the plans for the LaScala with horn loaded bass but more complicated to build. I own LaScala's but if I were to build it would be Cornscala. You will find detailed plans for build with plan A. Not that hard for anyone with woodworking skills to build. Apply your choice of veneer and one will have a very nice pair of speakers for money spent.

Well, you should also post a 4-component 120V DC supply to complete the fun, not ?
🙂

beautiful , as always
but , you cheated , using xformer in circuit

Well, the transformer was for you. 🙂
Let me have a go with 6 components :
Tx, bridge, cap, CRD, voltage setting resistor, NMOS as follower.
A cap across the resistor will give slow start and lower noise, but then 7 components.
I am sure you can do better. 😉

BTW one can also build a 120V 100mA switching supply using a LT3751.
Can then be powered from say 12V batteries.

Well, if you want to make a car amp out of this, you have no choice.
Even RC model Lithium packs will deliver the required 12W.
But Tx, bridge, CRC is also good.

Yes, that probably strays too far from the haiku.
I already have the CRC, so we'll start there and I'll try your suggestion next weekend, junk box permitting 🙂

I like it. I just happen to have a pair of 3.5K ohm OPT's. Close enough with a slight amount of power loss?
