I always ask for the impedance curve of the speaker. The impedance curve of L300 modified by you [in your article] has a minimum of ~6 ohms and maxima reaching ~30 ohms in the bass, and ~18 Ohms in the treble. F5T is the best choice ideal voltage source. By contrast, a current source amp will not cut it driving your L300 mods. In this instance, I hope that you agree that the resulting tonal balance will be out of whack.
