The self-debating is to use rC(L+R)C or to leave rCRC? Will coil chock give some extra details and clarity? If make sense to try coil, then which choke: air coil or one of Hammond's 153 for 10A or so?
either of these , if they're declared for DC you need
of course , more inductivity , the merrier , while Rdc of choke you need to approve/implement in entire construction
will you hear difference - that depends
I'm hearing difference between (properly made) CRC and CLC filter , in favor of CLC

Which one: Hammond 159 with 10A or air coil from crossovers mentioned by Spencer?
I'm curious about magnetic flax potential interference. In other hand, cant used $100+ for each potted choke. Too pricy.
Please advise.

no less than 2,2mH , no more than 0R47 Rdc
air coil is good enough , if other one is hurting ya wallet too much

I have 7 of 0.47R installed now in my + and - PSU sides. Do I need to remove one or several to installed Choke. Or to leave them all and just to add the chokes?

Last consulting prior coil purchase...
How about Solen 3.3mH, 14AWG, 0.45 Ohm? Or to go for other one with 2.25mH, 14AWG, 0.33 Ohm?
Do not what to loose DC out from PSU due to high R either...
Please let me know. Thank you in advance.

Received 4 of these today (3.3mH 14AWG, 0.4 Ohm with 100Hz test) and will install them tomorrow. I'll report about my findings accordingly. BTW, any precision for installation way and location. Any issue related to AC coupling, magnetic flux or inductance aspects?

Don't lay them in the same orientation as the power transformer. If the transformer is sitting with the big side down, mount the chokes on their edge.
Very nice addition to my F5T. I think these chokes made another step towards clarity and dynamics. Last question before I'll chill down and concentrate on real music staff lake my Hennessy XO....
Are these 1R load resistors change sound based type/thermal/inductance/Jonson/and etc...?
I use wirewould type with some inductance - RWR89S. My concern is if to swap them to Mills MRA5.

Good to hear of the improvement. Could you post a pic of how you attached the chokes?
Vishay also makes a non inductive version of the wirewound NS series.
nash
My resistors are exactly Vishay RS with MIL spec. Same as RN, but inductive. They marked them WRW.
The big question is if that inductance can play bed role in that position in F5T and 100 ppm/C is also not that nice as Mills MRA5 which runs 20 ppm/C.

BTW, I did not called these resistors correctly. It is Source resistor and now load one. Sorry for confusion.
