Nope it's already built 6 of them for a active 3 way,and working fine,,,,,,driving a F5c board. well,I like the double outputs, nice bass enhancement,I tried higher rails on the F5c ,but decided 32 vdc was a good choice,my sinks are small and fan cooled running at 45C at .3ma, Plenty of sound,I read a chart says us old farts don't need all the db's ie spl's we use to ,the amp and preamp sound good ,I would like to get the BA going maybe 3or 4 fets per side ,for low bass in a active 3 way, going to try that first, not enought bass,4way and a sub,I will have to built 2 more F5 T's,lol

i also have a plan on running my F5c on +/-32V.
allredy got the dual outputs, at 1.75A bias with +/-24V. with a heatspreader i can have as much as 120W dissepation pr side. it is 85W pr ch at this time.
you did 4.75K on R101-R104 as i said?

yes,I did and 220 on r7..........I am water cooling the fets ,almost done with the system,my heatsinks are small and can't take the heat, lol and it's hot already here in TEXAS,LOL>
but soon ,I hope they will run at 45 c or so constantly,I will find out soon, they will be thermostatically controlled,

hi,Please archive under: "noSmoking monologues".
Very funny but thanks for answering your question!
How are you ?
What are you building these days?
Cheers,
NS
i'm running natrual at 1.75A bias at +/-24V and about 45C on the sink baseplate🙂
that is some monster sinks🙂
that is some monster sinks🙂
<<<<<<WOW>>>>>>
How about sending that to me my birthday was in april, lol.😀😀😀😀
Sounds like it's running good too, temp and bias wise,
How does it sound ?
Nice heatsinks from where ?
Cheers,
NS
bout time to go sleep,,,,,4 in the morning and all is quiet, now that I turned it off, lol.🙂
Go Sleep with Cher, running in my head, dang that girl got pipes!!!!!!!!
Now that's a amp,😱😱😱😱😱😀here it is🙂

it sounds very nice🙂 nothing is missing. and a lot of power and dynamic🙂
the sinks is from heatsinksUSA🙂

great looking amp!! it looks like it has some balls.. wow.. 2 large toroids and 4 of those massive heatsinks: I'm sure it's kicking!
It was posted on another thread, that the bolts on the toroids ought to be non-conductive, or at least isolated from the chassis.
nope
what's important is that you don't connect upper end of them to anything - which is electrically connected to chassis ....... that way making shorting turn .
stories about bolt material are exactly that - just stories

Non-conductive material, either separates the bolt from the chassis or *is* the bolt. Makes no difference.

85 watts with a 24 v supply ..... ?
yes it has🙂 the trafos are not that big🙂 only 225VA pr pc. there vill be 300VA at a later time🙂
85 watts with a 24 v supply ..... ?
yes🙂 +/-24V 1.75A bias = 84W
it is dissepation. not output power🙂

Ok, yes correct on that , that's a lot of load on those small transformers , 400 VA may be the number ..
225VA pr pc. there vill be 300VA at a later time🙂
not much difference to care about
the low limit, but with one trafo each channel, it might be enough
just watch how hot it gets
maybe build quality have a say here, but I dont know
it is one pr ch. it have been in use for a long time no. and the dont get very hot.
most F5's get build with smaler transformers then this ones. it is 50% more powerfull transformers then the original F5🙂
and i will say that the differnce from 450VA to 600VA is big🙂 and needed when i go from +/-24V to +/-32V with same bias🙂 (i hope)
