well. supose not🙂 as the 3W resistors folks get are often of less good quality then there 0.6W's😀 i for one use 0.6W dale CMF60 for R3/R4🙂
Hi,
Hi,
Been into it today with my F5t,tweeking and playing I will post a picture of the vu meters,But if you would like to see them now ,google marc barellie plazma display, they are ez to build and not to costly ,I would like to adapt it to LEDS, but that tube glow in the plazma tube is like fire, you like to watch it,lol.but it's a 120 db scale so you can see ,very quickly I might say,see the levels going on on the chanels,it's not wieghted so you see it all,
AudioSan yep 2,2k was too much backed it down to 1.5 k couldn't get to rail voltage fets loading, but now I know, lol. Thanks !BTW what ma fets you like for the turbo?
Where do you buy dale's anyone got a good source?
Thanks ,
NS
NS, maybe post a photo of your VU meter. I'd like to add some visuals if they are cool and not too complex.

buzz. according to nelson, the 10ohm will not see any "power" so acctualy 1/4W is sufficiant🙂
the 220's on the other hand, they see a lot of it🙂 i use 5W there. and also the 1ohm source resistors i'll use is 5W🙂

aha🙂 that will do the job🙂 right now i only got standar wirewound 5W. but i do want to get some mills🙂 at least R7-R10(feedback resistors)
all others are dale CFM60. exept R2. (i forgot to order it)🙁 so i used what i had. it will not make much difference after all🙂

Three chassis stereo amps make for expensive umbilical cords and a whole row of amp cases.
If effy is 25%, then a 100 watt class A amp will dissipate 400 watts at idle. One measure of xformer size is 3-5 times dissipation, so 1.6Kva will only be good for one channel anyway. Then two boxes is a must, or you can't lift it anyway.
This is going to be expensive.

2-3 times dissipation is good. so 600+VA pr ch of v3. i'll use 1000VA pr channel. but only becouse i allready got them🙂
and a 100W F5 will consume about 250W

Definitely at point of tweaking.
yes. i have to leave something for tweeking😀😀

100W class-a =400watts consumption ... 😛
100W class-a =400watts consumption ... 😛
there is nothing to back up that🙂
F5 at 100W @8ohm= 40V swing at the output. you will get that easely with +/-45V rails.
and 2.5A bias = 100W class A. (2.5*2)*(2.5*2)*8/2=100W.
45V*2.5A *2 = 225W dissipation pr channel🙂
