F4 parts, basic beginner's questions

You're nailing me on my concerns re: authenticity, aren't you 🙂

Actually as sad as it sounds, I'm not. It's a sickness in this forum that you contract by looking at the quantity prices when putting parts in your online cart. Why settle for 10 for $2 when you can have 100 for only $12 more.

Now you've just made put 100 of these in my cart (for real):

In all seriousness though, any LED will work and choose the one that makes you happy. You may run into situations where you have to buy specific ones such as in the case of the DCB1. In those cases the component value you need to pay attention to is the forward voltage. In one version of the F6 (TeaBag's version), they use 2 LEDs in place of the zener so in that case as well, the forward voltage matters (my understanding).

Sorry about your cart... 😱

I asked because I often forget to look closely where in what project I am. Having had my troubles sourcing the correct ones for the B1 mez, so I tagged "LED" with the "dangerous part"-flag ...

sorry about that (me not looking at the schematic), too...

wires! ARGH, WIRES!

My post-last issue is the proper wiring. Seriously.
(don't laugh)

I read (with pleasure) that thread: https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pas...-passs-recommendation-cables.html#post2948645

I don't want to get super fancy stuff (even though it's super fancy), but I don't want to use some bell wire.

Problem is I either have to, or buy whole bobbins. ok, buy bobbins. what bobbins? what's a good, non-boutique wire? And, AWG 12 for PSU-stuff, and 26 for signal? which for the output?
