If you want to use 'any' LED then the red one you picked will certainly work BUT if you want to use the 'right' one for a Papa amp, it has to be blue.

You're nailing me on my concerns re: authenticity, aren't you 🙂
I use red and green on the PSU.
I do like blue on the amp boards.
It’s not actually critical nor important.

I'm actually more like a reddish guy 🙄

Actually as sad as it sounds, I'm not. It's a sickness in this forum that you contract by looking at the quantity prices when putting parts in your online cart. Why settle for 10 for $2 when you can have 100 for only $12 more.
Now you've just made put 100 of these in my cart (for real):

In all seriousness though, any LED will work and choose the one that makes you happy. You may run into situations where you have to buy specific ones such as in the case of the DCB1. In those cases the component value you need to pay attention to is the forward voltage. In one version of the F6 (TeaBag's version), they use 2 LEDs in place of the zener so in that case as well, the forward voltage matters (my understanding).

Sorry about your cart... 😱
I asked because I often forget to look closely where in what project I am. Having had my troubles sourcing the correct ones for the B1 mez, so I tagged "LED" with the "dangerous part"-flag ...
sorry about that (me not looking at the schematic), too...
good to know
would think about these for amps

For leds, I am using LTL-4221N Red Led.
You could use green ones too eg LTL-4231N
Just buy a stack of both of those, they are useful for many applications.
Saving you some paralysis by over analysis.
These are very good quality leds.

Funny....I only needed a few j113 and ended up getting a hundred from Mouser,
only to remember that I had bought another hundred a week earlier... 🙂
I have done the same thing with 0R47 resistors.
Good thing they are used in many projects.
Hahahaha

at the end of the month, you could build something like this:

music sensing device (sort of) 😀
wires! ARGH, WIRES!
My post-last issue is the proper wiring. Seriously.
(don't laugh)
I read (with pleasure) that thread: https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pas...-passs-recommendation-cables.html#post2948645
I don't want to get super fancy stuff (even though it's super fancy), but I don't want to use some bell wire.
Problem is I either have to, or buy whole bobbins. ok, buy bobbins. what bobbins? what's a good, non-boutique wire? And, AWG 12 for PSU-stuff, and 26 for signal? which for the output?
