First amp. M-Audio Transit. At about 10v output into 8 ohms.
White trace is amp, green trace is loop back into sound card from input. FWIW, both amps were tested cold.

Second amp, a little neater construction, having learned from the first. Fairly crude transistor matching for both.

It is Michael's amplifier and Michael's intelectual property. He is the one to make decisions. AFAIK there is no problem to make professional boards at reasonable price, the way had been verified.
I am now running the symasym with SACDs, sounds really great. I have been listening to this amp for more than 1 month and have no objections.

Yes, symasym really benefits from good signal source, but unlike it's predecessor, the symasym4, the sym5 makes also fun with less perfect recordings...

The currentmirror in symasym is the source for the 2nd harmonics distortions, but i considered them non-evil/useful and kept it. There are amplifiers specifically designed to have 2nd harmonics... 😉But why does OPA627 have a current mirror in the input-LTP ? In this case it does not improve balanced operation ?

I think I can understand why Upupa or PMA prefers modern stuff. In my opinion they have seen the dark times of Czech history, maybe that is the reason? Correct me if I am wrong!

As i use to say....every misunderstoodings we can have related other guys or countries actitudes, are always a consequence of our own ignorance related the other's culture...... the fact that we did not know the other one's hystory...what they lived.... how was the life.... how good or bad life was, those things.
This brings to me the conclusion that many problems could be avoided with more knowledge of the other one's country culture.... the reasons of this and that.
So.... people can be hurt, or dennie strongly, many things that represents "not go into the future."..go repeating past... the maintaining of the "status quo"...things always the same...no progress... repeating and repeating the same old song...yeah!..this may be very boering if you had under some pression for long time...and oldie minds dominating your country... staying delayed on purpose, because of decisions from the red ideas.
The observation, from those guy's point of view, those ones that had suffer those things, watching people going back, walking alike crab, always backwards, may be something awfull, when they had not the chance to go forward.....wanting and needing to go forward...impeached to go forward...and observing a lot of guys that have the freedom, and that always had the freedom, in the place to go advancing into the future, observing them marching in the same place.
Yes, this may be annoying, and hard to understand, how those "non futuristics" can loose the wonderfull chance they have and always had, and some guys goes looking into the past,searching for superated schematics and ideas, because bring to those last ones nice memories.... and memories are something that may do not want to have ...because may not bring any good feelings when remembering.

Well Jarka, womans are always the same.... they change only the outside envelope...but inside they are the same...they hate enormous speakers.....those awfull flashing lamps, those enormous equipments...wires travelling into the house..... sound equipment may be good if "invisible" for them.... i never tried to understand that wonderfull "specimen" womans...i already was concentrated in seduce them only...understand is impossible, but find the week points to seduce is more easy.
