Explendid amplifier designed by Michael Bittner, our MikeB

symasym finished

hi, first of all sorry about my english. im from argentina.

I successfully built the amplifier with the toshiba 2sc1943 and 2sc5200 transistors. originals and very difficult to find.

the sound is GREAT. te output power es very good. at least for my room. I've used it in some partys and birthdays but nothing proffesional. only for fun.

I want to thank the creator of such excellent design.

I uploaded some photos to rapidshare and a video of the amp.

the power supply has 4 transformers 12v to avoid space problems.

the voltage is stable at high current demand and themperature is ok.

there is a fan control system that turns on when the temperature exceeds the limit set by the preset and provides an histeresis.

and there is a stereo digital vumeter that uses the LM3915 and a peak detector circuit for better response, even in DOT mode.

here is the link to rapidshare.

Ultimate scheme and PCB!

Hi all !
Very interesting and completely project!
I want to create an amplifier percent of this quality and I have little to enjoy its sound! It has a high quality DC-power supply Ucc=+/-36V/300W, so please rate it and makes the final schematic and PCB for this amplifier !
In the end, I ask if someone is able to describe the operation of this amplifier at a given schematic?
thanks and cherss!:wave2::cheers:

P.S.
I expect a quick reply

@Radio,

the design / layout shown in the picture above was made "quick and dirty", and I did not take care of the transistor types, names, ...

This layout:

http://h6.abload.de/img/untitledj7eu.jpg

is current and correct (has already been built by a lot of German DIY'ers).

I offer the PCBs in this group-buy:

If you are interested: hurry up, please! I will close the group-buy today.

Best regards - Rudi_Ratlos

Hi Alex mm!

Please percent're a great virtuos PCB design! Give solve this problem! Design a PCB for this amplifier (according to the schematics given below)!
I'll be very grateful, and believe, and many other visitors of this theme (the Project)!
I am very grateful, and many other visitors of this topic (the Project)!

Andrew, what will you serve me? I accept anything - but I do not like "Fish 'n Chips".

I am the author of this schematics (inspired and assisted by my Canadian friend Joseph).

The schematics that RADIO has shown in the SYMASYM-G PDF-document is of course the schematics of the TO-3 SYMASYM
that I am currently offering in the http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/group-buys/187592-3-symasym.html group buy.

I wonder where RADIO found it!

PCBs do exist in the best quality available and have already been built by a lot of German DIYers.

The TO-3 SYMASYM group-buy will be closed in a minute.

Hi all!
Here's extremely PCB for this audio amplifier with Ucc=+/-36Vdc!
The second PCB (Figure 2) has a fault, instead MJ15024 should be MJ15023 !
cheers !!

P.S.
Alex mm, if you are able to help around the design of the PCB, I know that you can do even better!
