interesting, a "short, simple" way to look @ it & remember it; & just break it up three ways.
thanks scott.
thanks scott.
Re: Midband
FWIW, it helped me to learn that the highest keys on the piano are right around 4kHz.

Pitch vs Frequency vs Wavelength chart for whatever it's worth:
http://www.drewdaniels.com/FREQ.pdf
middle c is 261.6
200 is between G & G+ below it.

Thanks for that reference! I did a double-take when I saw C10 (16,744Hz) listed as part of the "standard keyboard" . . . most pianos (88 keys) will only go up to C8.

chris,
i think they mis-matching the color codes...
all "C"s are that dark, bright yellow.
standard, (88 key) piano range is lighter yellow.
A0 = 27.5 Hz - C8 = 4186 Hz.

Doh, now I see. Matches up perfectly . . . unless you've got one of those 97-key jobs, of course:

Now that's what I call a fullranger! Too bad I'm missing most of it listening through my computer.

Nice to see the latest interesting Feastrex updates from everyone. Shegeri, I am intesterested in your b version box for D5nf, is it actually possible to build it without going crazy? I do not like puzzles 😉 I enjoyed reading the papers.
bven, Those who have heard the combination have said that the F5 is delicious on the Feastrex drivers. It is not difficult to build with a PCB, checkout the group buy in Pass forum. Also new ones are on sale now at renohifi.com 2200usd
I am working slowly on a simple spherical sealed box for D5nf.
The OB looks awesome Phil!

Good to hear about the F5. I'm still undecided though, the F5 looks like the safest bet, but the current source ones might in fact offer more flexibility for tailoring the FR.
How bout theses cabs for $350/pr, might fit the D5nf?

Hi Rich,
Email me... I just received the exploded drawings of the TR130b from Mr Shigeru Suzuki....
I'll send you the drawings to you.

Those are a 3" driver... way too small

Personally, I find the F3 to be the most complementary to my
D9nf's.

Would be wonderful to make a valve version but I guess valves just don't work that way?

The whole point of the F3 was to emulate a triode with a power JFET
operating in the "linear" triode-like region. A fine SET would be the
go-to choice, and by "fine" I mean something with .1% thd or less
at 1 watt.
😎
Thanks for your opinion Nelson.
I dont want to take the thread off topic, but I've just today picked up a Prometheus TVC, and wondering if this changes things, input impedance of the the F3 and F5 being 10 and 100 ohm respectively? I know naught about how such things work but have a feeling the F3 might not have enough gain with the D5nf, even though I dont ever crank it. Cheers

It's my experience that you will have enough gain. If 10K input
impedance is an issue for you, then don't choose an F3.
