Hi. Yes - it sounds lovely. A really rich, warm, full sound - and pretty tight too. I absolutely love it. I'm thinking of making another and adding an input selector switch and a volume control.

I am also thinking of building it.
Did you have any stability problems with these transformers, since they are not lundahls?
Transformers are probably the most important component in a tube power amp.
Lundahls are very expensive but they are also very very good. What do you think of the hammond 1645A? They cost a little less but perhaps this project deserves the lundahls.
What speakers do you drive?
Sorry for too many questions but before starting a demanding and expensive project it is better to inquire.

The Lundahls were too pricey for me and somebody I respect told me the Primary Windings parts would be fine. Maybe the Lundahls would sound better – I don't know, but it sounds excellent as it is so I won't be experimenting. I have no experience of the Hammond parts you mention so can't comment, I'm afraid. I've had no stability problems.
