can anyone recommend a low gain/output tube for a tu8800?
for turning up a bit more yet listening at lower volumes.
6F6 or 6V6.

yes, I have seen that. I was wondering if anyone recommended anything in particular for playing at lower volumes - something which has a tendency to limit the volume.
Victor - that's a long wait. At 72 I may well be dead by then........ you need to wait the Lundhal for 8800. it will be available in late Feb 2020.

Victor is the moderator of this forum, that's how I suppose he edited that.
Hi,
All recent Elekit amps use SS rectification with an additional FET based ripple filter, the bigger ones also have a second filter stage for driver tubes.
Gain can be calculated from the specs. 360mV is required for 12.5 Watts, which is about 29 dB at 8 Ohms, and 26 dB at 4 Ohms.
Headphone output level is adjustable.
