ELEKIT TU-8600S

TU-8600S
TU-8600S will ship from Japan 1st and 2nd week of November
Pre-order emails were sent..

Victor, what is the difference between the 8600S's as described in $tereophile ^"Lundahl's new, super-premium LL2785B" and the ^^LL2785 (euro exc, VAT 237,06 and 286,84 euro incl. 21% VAT per 1 OPT)?

Also, can you tell me the specs of the LL2785B?

Asking as I have read all good things about 8600S, and no reviews of the SV kit. I prefer point-to-point and tube rectification. It's a given that the OPT used has a big influence on how good the amp will perform and I'd like to compare specs of the 8600S LL2785B OPT to the SV-S1616D-300B with H-20-3.5U OPT ^^^(347,80 euro exc., VAT and 420,85 euro incl. VAT per 1 OPT)?

H-20-3,5U
Power 20 (50Hz)
Pri. imp. 2.5K / 3.5K
Sec. imp. 4,8,16 ohm
Freq. Res. (Rp=Zp -2dB) 25Hz-90KHz
Max current 140mA
(300B, EL34, 2A36B4G, 6L6GC)

LL2785B IS CUSTOM-MADE FOR TU-8600S.
Before, we used LL2770 for TU-8600R. LL2785B was evolved from LL2783C for TU-8800.
LL2683C took numerous time, cost, and stress effort --> to make a good sound OPT.

Because of the great success of LL2783C, with the new release of TU-8600S, I changed the OPT to LL2785B ( it has the same three layers of construction ). There are three windings in LL2785B ( Primary, Secondary and Thrid wiring/Cathode Feedback)

Sorry.. I do not look at specs... Each new OPT involves three parties to say OK: Mr Lundahl, Mr Fujita, and VK. We judge by their sound.

LL2785B is around 10% better than LL2770. You need a very good speaker to hear the difference.
YOU cannot buy LL2785B from other dealers. IT is custom-made for TU-8600S.

When you do your math, please do not forget the expensive shipping an import charges.. Also the development fee and time fee are absorbed by me.

Sunvalley is part of Toyota Motor Group of Companies in NAGOYA JAPAN.

Hashimoto OPT cannot be used with TU-8600S. TU-8600S requires cathode feedback to reduce the NFB..

Sunvalley is a traditional tube amp design: Tube rectifier, choke and point to point. ELEKit's design is the mix of new and old technologies.

There is no single amp kit reviewed by Stereophile 2.5 times in 26 months, except for this one.

One more thing..
I'd like to compare specs of the 8600S LL2785B OPT to the SV-S1616D-300B with H-20-3.5U OPT
When you are comparing TU-8600S and SV1616D, you are comparing old and new technologies...

The review of SV-S1616D is coming... Eventhough I do not have the review, you guy should have some ideas how well this amp can go.....

I will say this….. if you can get the last run if 8600S……do it now. I love my 8900 with 2A3 and while the 300B to me is good, it still sounds much better in 8600S. Today I upgraded my 8600S with 2785B, TKD pot and Mundorf caps. Immediately, I could hear a vast improvement over my mostly stock 8600s. At first I thought I messed something up because I was not expecting this huge difference. Soundstage expands immensely and almost feels it is engulfing me. Better layering of instruments and more notable spaces between notes.

I know Victor has said it’s an emotional amp, but you don’t understand that until you experience it.

Been running 2785B for a solid week and apart from the sonic improvements, did anybody notice how much more power it’s pushing out? With stock opts I was at around 10 o’clock dial, now I can barely get past 8, 9 is pushing it. No complaints just an observation.

Also I have been spending lot of time swapping out 12au7 tubes, thinking that 12ax7 was the predominant tube but I am hearing a lot of differences with 12au7. Could it be that the 2785B has such an impact on sonics that I can hear the differences now?

Hi Victor, mine is up and running, all voltages within spec, using the gold lion and crossed to start with. I think it's on par with my modded 8200 and look forward to putting the hours required to loosen it up. My sincerest thank you for all of your efforts and the prompt email replies and phone support. You are a legend in the DIY community and it doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated.
