The fact that you are getting a voltage drop across those 510 ohm resistors is an indication that the mosfets are suspect. There should be no gate current. When I first built one of these I had a similar problem, likely due to poor handling and static discharge. Replacing the suspect mosfet fixed the problem.

And echoing Huggygoods's question from last month - What's up with Eli?? His last post here was October last year, similar for Audio Asylum.
