Really?
Cause I found it is different from the spec on behringer website:

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Yeah, the website docs never matched the box AFAIK. Both are what I always remember them to be.

FWIW, not only are there different versions of the ECM8000, they source from several manufacturers and even different examples of the same version tend not to match exactly. Some are aluminum, some are brass, some are zinc (or a mix of several of the above), they vary in length by noticable amounts, every PCB seems to have a slightly different layout/set of components, etc. I've even opened up one brand new mic to see all the surface mount caps had been (clumsily) hand soldered on! What is it about hand soldered Chinese made goods and flux paste? They're not even willing to pay for neutral rosin core? Ugh.

I've also seen at least three visibly different capsules used in different ECM8000s bought at the same time. Now that I've gone and looked inside mine, I think I won't be buying any more. The construction quality on some of them was really poor.

I just finished testing 7 RTA type mics for a future magazine article. the ECM-8000 included as well as the Nady, Superlux, Earthworks M23, Beyer MM1, Naiant, & DBX mics and we referenced the B&K 4010 and several other B&K mega buck measurment mics.
Several things to note. 1- not all ECm-8000's are created equal. there are several revisions of this mic. and a very large unit to unit variance between mics of the same series. The Behringer mic was no shining star in our test's. but there was some surprising results! stay tuned for more info.
most of the mics we tested had the bump at 10-18K. typically less then 1db.
when measuring a direct source. the mic inline with the source is generally the best way to go. when measuring room response. the mic at various locations and angles and averaged, is what is normally used.

Did the magazine article on mics ever get published?
