I try to re-open this thread. I want to build E130L PP amp (pentode of course). I have read whole discussion but not found "my" answers.
May I ask artosalo (or anybody else) to do simulation stated here for Raa ~3k-3k5 and find the best operational point please?
I have some E130Ls, but not have any Raa 1k6 OPT.
I have some 3k (or 3k5, dont remember exactly) OPT with CFB designed for EL34/6L6 primarily intended, but capable to work with KT88/6550 too (up to 60W Pout without any problem), so I have intention to use them. They come from amp with Ub ~450V. I think this will be quite a lot for E130L (and I have to use another power supply for G2s too).
I found in discussion also this, so maybe for triode mode Raa 3k is suitable too, if there will be some cross-match between pentode and triode mode (Raa, Ub+,...) so I will go for both mode (switchable).
Here is some asc, maybe can use for simulation.
E130L spice model
Based on this, is it possible to use schematic but with some other ECC (maybe 81 or 85) instead of first E80CC (U5)?
In this schematic I think that replacement for 7N7 (6SN7) can be done by ECC82/12AU7 without any changes...
Thanks.
