Dear professor Carlos,
You make me rush, I don't have at least half experience as you have.
I wish you a cool night ... man, 32C in your house ... i can not stand more than a minute at that temperature. You are a children of the Sun!

It is not confortable dear Roender.... very hot.

have to drink a lot of watter and eat fruits in big quantities...to have shower 3 to 4 times a day and do not use too much clothing..only the needed to keep law respected.

Shorts, or bermuda pants and no shirts...no conditions to use shirts!...this is alike a Swedish Sauna.

Carlos

Nordic

Was a good friend i have, from Europe that told me that...also he defends the use of 100 volts insulation into condensers.... no problems..but this cost a lot more!

His is thinking about 47000 microfarads... twice the minimum needed.... or...the needed value to 4 ohms operation..... we can reduce a little to allow people not to spend too much.

I also think this way.... it uses three pairs..so, this cost three times one pair.

regards,

Carlos

You cannot imagine the "noise"..comments.... expressions of nice surprise

When you release your design

A lot of very good folks are impressed with your design.

Lacombe is a monster in technology..... the guy is the Doctor from the Doctors...and he said your amplifier is lovely.

Because of those "big folks" words that i feel honored by your attention with me.

Beautifull picture...very nice kid..... has clever eyes.

Carlos

About boards received.

They are not from Hugh line....only one of his ideas...a brainstorm he had... different design, sounding very good...but not the top performer he was searching for.... i have asked those boards, he made 4 and used two to listen the prototype...then i asked the free ones to me.

I have said that i was on troubles with parts..that even with huge stock that would arrive from Duda and from Nordic, that i would be zeroed related output and good high voltage drivers..so..he sent me.

regards,

Carlos

Nordic,

You are right...... my handwriting is terrible. I can type very fast, but my handwriting remains as bad now as it was at school.

Hot in southern Oz today, 36C. I've just washed and polished my wife's car, soon drenched in sweat.

Keep up the great work!

Cheers,

Hugh

No problems, in my point of view, with our Majesty letter

Ahahahah.... when i appreciate someone, for sure i am fair...ahahahahaha.

Send me some pictures hugh, the Motorcicles and your three Toyotas.

Here, Toyota and Suzuki, are the brands people trust..you can put oil and gaz for 8 years long without send them to repair.

The brazilian cars almost finishes after 4 years use...you have to replace almost everything...only gasoline tank are saved and the external paint also.... we have no rust problems anymore.

Also here, Doctors do not know how to write..but i am worst.... i just do not know how to write using normal letters, i use those letters we have into internet...my hand writing is different from other folks.

regards,

Carlos

I forgot condenser that works into the rail regulators

The ones used to capacitance multiplier effect.

Please Nordic, include them into your prototype board.

They work multiplying this 47uf condenser value by the transistor gain.... and the gain is around 150.... so.... this is equivalent, has the same value if you place a big condenser from the emitter to ground.... as rail filter...... 47 multiplied by 150 results in 7050.

So.... the use of this "trick" you will have a "virtual" condenser, as rail filter for the input circuits, bigger than 7000uf... and WITHOUT the need to place "whales" there.

Of course...this is a matter of personal taste..if you want...place whales there, but remember they waste ground space... the are huge and use a lot of room to fit into the boards...and ugly as a hell (my point of view)... also shocking, as condensers are things made to supply boards, not to amplifier boards..we are using because we are crazy....or exotic if you prefer....ahahahha..maybe fanatic.

Also the current we have flowing into the input circuitry is very small... having not the need of huge condensers to stabilize... our 220uf is already an overkill.

Here is the circuit... this is the option 1... using the Capacitance Multiplier effect (see Doctor Rodd Elliot, our better teacher)

Carlos

Here is the option 2, not to use the capacitance multiplier effect and the use

of filter into the series regulator output.

You see, more expensive, bigger condenser into the output.

And dinamically working.... both circuits have the same quality.

We are not using an extra transistor as error amplifier because there's a very small current variation into the input circuits...so...not needed to make corrections into the voltage.

Carlos

Here is the schematic dear Nordic.

You can see, i have reduced all condensers, this is an effort i am making to overcome the influences we had about big condensers into the board.

I am convinced they are not needed when you have rail electronic regulator using capacitance multiplier and huge condensers into the supply.... if you use less than 30 centimeters or wire, from the supply to the circuits.... your condensers will see a very small resistance...so...the link (the wire connection) to the amplifier board is something so small that virtually you can understand that your supply condensers are almost assembled over your amplifier board.

Graham use class A...he needs enormous condensers.... another sittuation, another reality, another need

We are running class AB...small bias current... smaller current during dinamic work too.

New schematic attached, updated, included those capacitance multiplier condensers...yep..you can use 100uf or 220uf if you prefer...overkill..but can use too.

Condenser prices increase not only with capacitance..they increase because of insulating voltages, and we gonna have 63 volts or more insulating voltages on them.... very expensive folks.

This amplifier, the Precision, if for free, for diy work, so...good to be cheap too...the next one will have no worries about costs into the circuit...will have more transistors and huge, expensive, enormous whale condensers (folks loves those things).... but that one will be to be sold.

Excelence in sonics, big value on parts, no concerns and worries with costs... boutique and fashion parts, coloured unobtanium to delirating folks and profit to our pockets too...i am needing money to buy parts to continue to produce things.

So...blue and green black insulator condensers, Teflon capacitors, Silver Mica, huge parts, big insulating voltages, hard, huge transistors, unobtainium parts, high cost expensive resistances..everything to the ones loves to dream about those things, and have the belief they sound better.... and also the top performance of the best sonics we can produce....Greek and Trojans will be satisfied...we can also include a bag with air inside... High quality spirits included!!!...ahahahahahahahah!

Kidding folks, exagerating..will not use those foolishes.

Only me and Nordic will see the schematic.... anyone more.... if the schematic was reproduced, copied, shown, published, mailed, described, photographed, multiplied, observed or something alike, i will pick an airplane to South Africa and will cut out Nordic bells and will give them to the Sharks to eat...as i will not show the schematic even to my mother.... it will have secrets of the secret, the milk from the milk, the cream from cream related features, the subcircuits, some top secrets designed by Hugh, in special to me, subcircuits he is not using...only for the Dx Corporation.

And this if Nordic enter this adventure with me...because if he give up i will do it by myself.

regards,

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

Sorry, I just noticed your messages above about drawing something. I was out shovelling snow from the driveway, freezing my butt off, while you southern hemisphere folks are nice and cozy warm.

An expression for you Carlos: The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Do you want me to draw something. I would be happy to help. Let me know what you need. (If you still need it.)

..Todd

Yes Todd.... i need you.... a good schematic.... well drawn

Pretty one alike that one you have made to the Dx operating 55V.

But do not bother to use parts reference numbers, as this will follow Nordic computer data.

If possible, place only values, 100 ohms, BC556, 100n....those things...no reference numbers.

This makes things easier to the ones construct without boards...doing their own boards, and so, they use the direct values, not to have R1 into the board and the guy will need a sheet of papper to translate what means R1.

You know...direct, instantaneous informs about parts values.

Precision II maybe will be this way...boards to be sold and instructions about construction and suggested parts...no parts going together... this will reduce Nordic work and will make me able to sell from my place too (not easy parts here)

Also when you place values, you do not need to give schematic..people will need only to place resistances, transistors and capacitors following board instructions..hehehehehe

Of course people can copy watching boards, but some parts will go assembled, in smd, and covered with epoxi cement...has to destruct the board to watch what is there hidden.... also a cover having a web of metal will confuse dentist Ray X.... infrared and Thermographic images will not show too.

The schematic is what i want...without parts number..only with the parts value is what i am asking you Todd.

Black and white, good image, without too much informs, only the essencial informs....PDF will be better (I can convert here)..but PDF must be smaller than 100K to fit our forum.

The sub circuits produces excelent sound, no one have discovered, only the one that create that.... and he uses different sub circuits compared to mine...so...copying mine will not know his circuits, and the opposite is true also.

Circuit tracking difficult also..diodes will confuse measurements.

regards,

Carlos

Very cosy...it was 41.5C here on Christmas Day and then 44.5C on Boxing Day... :hot:

Cheers 😉

I have faced 32 degrees, but no wind, and high Humidity

This means, something that remembers the wet Swedish Sauna.

That one filled with watter into the air...ehhehehehe.

Two walls into the place i use to be (sleeping room) receive sun during the morning, and despite made with Bricks, concrete and cement, they turn hot and passes to transfer heat to the internal environment.

I use a ventilator sucking the external air to inside room...but not enougth, as it is mixing computer heat and my own body heat.... awfull place to be..... maybe i will move the computer to the living room, there i have wind all day long.... 3 degrees less, and heat do not stay there for too long as air moves, the sun goes to the balcony and do not enter the main room.

I would love to have some snow here...it is raining man!....good that...temperature will reduce...BUT, tomorrow, fat mosquitos will eat me alive!

regards,

Carlos

Dear Carlos,

congratulation on your latest amp evolution (or revolution, more precisely, this time?)

I just got HRII kit sets from Nordic and just back from holiday and still figuring out how to split my time to work on it... and you come with the latest incarnation... 🙂

I don't need much of power for my speakers... I'm happy with my existing 25watts amp now... that's why I plan to use lower voltage on HRII...

beside the power bandwidth on Precision (which I think can produce more dynamic impact with less efficient speakers), what differences in sound that I can expect between Presision and HRII? Are they sound typical (with Precision better of course..) or they sound quite different?

Thanks,
---
David

Hi Nordic,

I got it! 🙂

Then for my own need (with single driver speakers and 91+ effieciency) I guess I will not need Precision soon... 🙂

Besides, I'm easily pleased person... and can live with limitations (especially budget) 🙂

Thanks,
---
David
