Dx Blame ST together Dx Super A

yes mr vargas. i put 2n5401/5551 and turn it on...
damn... it's on and a LIVE....!!!!
bass so good with compact mid. I LOVE IT...
thank you mr Vargas, mr Andrew, mr Thimios and speccially to author mr Carlos.
thank you very much. you give me a lovely amp

very good sir I'm glad you found the fault 😀
thanks but Carlos is the one that should have the credit I just paint the layout 🙂

Best Regards

A happy end.... this is very good

In the reality Doctor Self did......not me.... i have just tuned and included something..... i have finished maybe...because Self Blameless was a concept...not a finished amplifier.

I accept the thanks because i have worked hard...in the reality we have worked hard...many guys did it...Klaas Venstra.... Daniel Mustran (the Croatian), Todd Johnson, Alex mm, Miguel Nabuco (Mitchel), Nico Daneel (Nordic), Hugh Dean, Fábio Zimmer, Juan Vargas Diaz and some others... i apologize not to mention all them.

A struggle to beat in sonics this amplifier....now i did it but i have to say that was not that easy using other kind of circuit.....not that easy..... now a days i have tested a 2.5 Kilowatts amplifier that accept one second short in the output terminal, melting output cables and it is not being damage....not using V/I limiters (thanks Lord i could do it this way) ... something that accept 2.2uf shorting the output already loaded by inductive 2 ohms resistor and nothing happens with the waveshape/amplifier....all that required too much work to acomplish.

I still think this one (Dx SA) is a peace of jewelry, that sounds great.... distorts almost nothing....have nice harmonic distribution....the ratio in between the harmonics...can operate class AB increasing bias to 90 mA (optimized) and the 100n capacitor that goes in the second VAS emitter should be removed for more stability under some kind of loads.

I am still doing my stuff...but now in secret...not DIY anymore.... doing for Brazilians in most of the time....finishing speaker with 2 meters or folded tube inside...Transmission Line speaker...having fun...as i always had....it has valves to open and close saxophone alike.

Pirates are always around...there are some in UK, in the USA, in Europe and in China....also in Brazil we have some corsairs and smugglers...buzzing around and bothering me a little.... but even these ones bothers me less than some forum buggers that goes buzzing around..the do nothing crew, that goes only "evaluating" other guys job and not contributing with amplifiers or anything productive to the forum or the community.

Be sure you are belonging to a big brotherhood fellows.... Dx Amplifiers are in Siberia, in Turkey, in Egipt, in Alaska, Croacia, Katmandú, Karachi, Belgrad, Berlim, Paris, Washington and almost all world countries.... 1000 made in a DIY way....almost 300 sold built and 400 kits distributed in Brazil in a DIY way....so...you are not alone.

Thank you all by the confidence and preference and thanks to Juan to take care of the thread.

Speaker shown, externally is Baubo, a Brazilian design..but internally it is not anymore.... it is Dx..the tube solution is mine...uses compress and expand method... exclusive design not shared with anyone...even when i send layout to some friends to copy i am sending the standard Baubo and not showing my discoveries anymore.

My Baby is not a baby anymore...i am geting very old, now 63, one feet already inside the tomb and other feet stand on life... i hope in a couple of years i will not be anymore in earth and i do believe i will left life to enter the history...at least in Brasil.

regards,

Carlos

In India they have made an industry....in Facebook

you can see the factory...the guy came to me in 2009... asking about a good schematic....now we know the purpose.

See the schematic...the Dx amplifier with some makeup....differential feeded by a voltage regulator with zener reference.... differential colector load as resistors, simple VAS, bootstrap and emitter follower.

They use this kind of schematic because it is really nice..in special the bass.

Carlos

its so good even with cheap and standart componen. damn...

i only use ac 20v from 5A for stereo. budget isue 😀. that's a far far from recommended voltage. but the sound is marvelous to me. now I'm not deaf anymore when hearing defferent of midlow freq.
man... you got to have it. but dont forget to buy large large heatshink.
she's BEAUTIFFUL and HOT

Hey uncle Charlie,

Good to see you have missed us. Don't be a stranger. I listen to this amp a lot. With each new build, the first amp I compare it to is this one. You did a good job with this one. I'm glad you stayed at it until it was working properly. It gets showed off every time I have a new guest.

Blessings' Terry

And Patrick Roovers is still with us....this is nice too.

The Dx Super A, dear Terry, is something a little bit problematic to me...you know, i drive myself into the new world of non DIY products....without shared schematic.... top secret....all that stuff....but i found difficult to make something better in sonics...it is really lovely.

But i feel something interesting in my home.... it is sounding even better when i use lower supply voltage.... i have several models, all them Dx Super A schematic...but it is clear to me that some of them (2 in 6 stereo amplifiers that populates my home), the ones are feeded from 23 to 25 volts DC are sounding even better...maybe because of BD139/140... the linearity maybe.... in these ones i have reduced the bias...so...not more that increased stand by bias that i have named Dx Super A..... just 90 mA per rail...and sounded better.

Mine ones have not that capacitor (100n) in parallel with second VAS emitter... also i have reduced current into the CCS to the differential...that resistor atop the CCS that controls the current.... well...will post the schematic soon.

Carlos

Well...to understand what i did..please, go to the video

Then things gonna be clarified:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cR1SSFGyik

It is raining cats and dogs in my place!🙂

I am still sleeping.... video was cutted in a half by accident (the rain).... but watch the schematic and you will see modifications..observe 270 ohms in the first VAS emitter.

regards,

Carlos

Yep...i am still doing it in Brazil... modules ready to go

But not for the International Market because of weight.

But...if you want some..then go to Juan Vargas Diaz...if he want to assemble some units then he can do it..he is authorized.

juanvargasdiaz@aol.com

He may send me 10 percent of the profit...a very small value..but will help me to buy more parts to develop more stuff.... this produces a lot of work to assemble..then this is something he will ask some payment..not cheap as pcboards only.

regards,

Carlos

Boys!... uncle charlie will not go to the world cup

I would like you to know why.

Be attention folks...i am one of the first to push Brasil...but there are problems and world cup is not a good idea.

Sorry by the off topic..but i feel myself responsible, because i use to paint Brasil "a little bit" better than she really is.
