DX Blame Group Buy

Fizz, Sherloch,

don't loose your patience! Hold out for one week, please!
If we don't come by the requested amount of 10 pcs. per PCB in a week, I will offer you my own, private, marvellous MKII version of the DX Blame:

either as an etched and drilled PCB or as a PDF-file, if you want to etch by yourself, just the way you like it.

In contrast to the PCB offered originally in this Group-Buy thread, my private version contains the PSU "on-board", on the same PCB.

The advantage of my "PSU on-board" version: you do not have to run long wires between the PSU-PCB and the AMP-PCB in your case,
the big power-capacitors are located very close to the power-transistors and can deliver their charge very quickly to them,
you do not need to take care of star-ground, ...

The disadvantage: this PCB will not have the precious look and touch of the famous red-and-gold DX Blame PCBs and somebody may argue,
that the AC input on the PCB will interfere with the signal's input.

But I couldn't measure any interference.

On the contrary: comparing a 2-PCB (PSU and AMP) solution to this one, I always felt, that my private version plays "quicker" and more precise,
without loosing any of the qualities of the DX BlameES' sound.

To etch and drill this PCB (150 x 150 mm, in case you wish horizontal mount of the power transistors) will cost about 22€ in Germany,
not much more than the 2 separate PCBs etched in China.

In the meantime I ask you to give me your EMail-address, so I can send you the famous "DX Blame Builder's Manual".

Best regards - Rudi_Ratlos

I have invited people from the Blue boards group buy (Supercharged)

to come and order from Rudi, as they are waiting a second round and i am not sure if we gonna have this or not.... soon i will know...but the ones wants a good amplifier and cannot wait...Rudi boards are a very good option.

Here you see the invitation:

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/grou...harged-groub-buy-interest-13.html#post2462745

Meanman, my dear, we are using bigger transistor to Q6, not only you, but more two Brazilians reported Q6 burned when they have saturated the input...so..use bigger transistor there, more current and more volts...try BD139 to the Dx Blame ES or ST and try MJE15032 for other models (blue board models)]

Q6 emitter resistance we are using is 220 ohms and can be increased to 470 ohms and even more.

You can see here my invitation..i hope some folks come, to allow Rudi to order.... then we gonna see what we gonna do to the Supercharged second round...we may open the second round... i am in having conversations about that with Mitchel. (Miguel Nabuco)

Also i have readed that our forum will start to produce boards to some projects, to avoid people to be waiting group buy they will provide boards...i am not sure if this is a plan or if this is already working... a very good idea.... popular circuits should have the forum management support..and this will finish with folks troubles to have boards.

regards,

Carlos

I have attached a PDF-file showing the PCB and its components.

Print this file on your PC, at 100%, do not resize it, then you can measure exactly the grids of the components used.

You will find the silkscreen of the DX Blame, showing the values of the components, in the Builder's guide, I sent to you.

From the 1.st round of the group-buy, I have 3 sets of input capacitors (Vishay 10µF MKT) and output-transistors (either MJL4302/MJL4281 or MJW1302/MJW3281) left.

I will offer you the MJL - set (on the right) for 18€ and the MJW sets for 10€.
All parts are new and unused.

Give me a PM if you are interested.

Best regards - Rudi_Ratlos

Dear DX Blame friends,

we have reached the minimum account of PCBs needed to be offered fair prices.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I have been asked to include the speaker's protection PCBs as well.

So this is what I will offer you:

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Talking about prices:

I did a forecast on the prices this morning:

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

As I told you, I will have to pay another 25€ local tax here in Germany.
The total sum will then be about 220€ for 10 mono sets.

One DX Blame Mono Set, consisting of AMP-, PSU and LSProt - PCB then costs 22€.
This is a very fair price for 3 top quality PCBs. 😀

Shipping cost within Europe is 3.45€, shipping worldwide is 6€.
Secured shipping will add another 2.05€.

Example:

RKH from the United States ordered a stereo set.
He has to pay me: 2 x 22€ + 6€ = 50€

I will write a PM to all of you telling you the price.

My PAYPAL Account is: RRozek@t-online.de
Please insert your home- and EMail address in the PAYPAL transfer's comment field.

I will order on Wednesday evening, 16th of February, given that I have received your PAYPAL transfers until then.
I expect the PCBs at my homeside in the first week of March.

The MJL - set of transistors and capacitors is sold.

Best regards - Rudi_Ratlos

Dear DX Blame friends,

I ordered the PCBs a minute ago.

The "lead time" is 12 days, which means, that the PCBs will be etched on February 28th.
It will then take 3-4 days until I will have them in my hands.

I will send you the PCBs immediately after I have received them (will prepare the envelopes right now).

I will keep you informed.

I have ordered a very few additional PCBs - for late-comers. 😉

@Dave S: I will send you a PM.

Best regards - Rudi_Ratlos
