New NUC ?
Hi Nick,
Please go on, we are still waiting for the NEW NUC !!!😕
Because, with more taps (2047 or so ?) for the woofer we all could have a very nice and powerful Najda !
Hopeful, Rainair

I would like to know the reference of the black knob for the encoder delivered with the Najda Control Board.
Is anyone know it, i did not get an answer from Nick.
Thank you

Hi,
Have a look here: http://www.waf-audio.com/doc/Najda/NajdaControlBoardInstallationNotes.pdf
Rotary encoder with central push (ref. Bourns PEC11R-4220F-S0024)
Measure the spindle ø and do an e-bay search

xlr-board, crlc board
Somebody want to buy my xlr-out boards and crlc-board for najda, since I dont get to use after going passive. Never used, not testet. Picture is the user I bought the pcb's from. Can sent photo pm.
I have smps never used a well.

I wonder how many uF is needed to get a straight frekvensy down to about 20Hz??The MKP´s I used are 2,2 µF, the reduced capacity does´nt matter, only in the low-bass-way you have to lift the output-gain at approximately 3 db.🙂

Here the inputbuffer from the data sheet of the ADC,theres only one elyt/channel.Seems there are an input impedance of 10K.

Highend Najda
Hi,
If somebody is interested in a complete finished Najda with:
1. All ultra linear power supplies from Sjöström ( -+ 12V, 5V)
2. Linear PS for Exa U2I USB-I2S Converter
3. Linear PS for JLSounds USB-I2S Converter with isolation and clock Board with Crystek ultra Löw Phase Noise Oscillator
4. The 2 USB converters can be switched from one to another from the rear
5. Big Oled front Display
6. Amanero USB-I2S is also installed, can be used instead of JLSounds converter
7. Apple remote controller
For those interested send me a PM and I will provide photos from inside and outside.
Best regards
Sigi

I forgot to mention that the electrolytic caps were replaced by MKPs and 3 OPAMPs by BURSONs based on FET and Transistor amplifiers!Hi,

I'm using the najda board a few years. Now i will make a complete reconstruction for my setup. In this "new" Setup i will realize an autostart/autoshutdown for Najda by switching the power supply.
Has anyone tried this before?

Hi Dieter,
You have to do: Nothing, because the Najda switches off and on automatically. I always use the hard power-switch of my preamp, it works perfect. Najda stores the last setup, volume, settings etc. And if you want to change your setup, you make the new settings and then press the standby-switch (off) and press it a few seconds later again (on), so the new datas are stored. Then you can switch off the power again.
Best regards, Rainer

Something else, Dieter:
You should always use only FIR filters, the steeper the better! I use LR with 72 db, the dynamics are stunning! With IIR it sounds only lame.
I made the linear-crossover-filters with RePhase, without any magnitude- or phase correction. The correction I made then in the input, that is the best way to the perfect speakers.

Yes i know. In the past, my last three speaker-projects, FIR was no problem. But in the moment i need to much filters for my new open baffle speaker build. So i got an overload with FIR. But I´m working to reduce the filters an can work with FIR filtering.
Hello everyone,
I use 2 Najda, one for the left lane, the other for the right lane, (yes it's possible) each Manages 4 FIR with:
Graves 1 FIR 1023samples at 96KHz
Low Medium 1FIR 512samples at 96KHz
Medium 1FIR 512samples at 96KHz
Treble 1FIR 512samples at 96KHz
On each Najda processors are used to the maximum to the environment 80%, car sampling set at 96Khz, it is significantly more musical at 48Khz, on my high performance pavillon system.
With a single time Najda did not have enough resources in samples to create the FIR filters I wanted, so I searched the solutions to make it work two. (Analog input and I2S with USB / I2S Hecate XMOS armature)
FIR filters are created with Rephase in Linkwitz-Riley.
I do not go into the details of the assembly of the 2 Najda, but there are precautions to be taken, such as using a common clock, but it's very stable. (I use for more than one)
Welcome,
Jean Louis
