I don't see your name on the list of prototype builders so why would YOU want a BOM before the design is tested and finalised????

It does seem to me that Harry3's reply is a little harsh. While by no means being in the same league as you experienced designers, I am retired and " playing" with electronics is one thing that helps. I have followed this thread since the start with great interest even if not with complete understanding.
I have also kept one eye on my components and fully aware of the current
shortages.
Since this testing started the thread has almost become silent, which is a pity.
There may be a very good reason, such as commercial interest, in which case please tell us and I'll stop my daily checks.

My reply was not at all harsh. The guy who asked for the BOM didn't have prototype PCBs. You cannot buy hundreds of dollars worth of parts on a design that has yet to be verified. Note that some parts will/ might change when the amp is fully tested and a new schematic will be published.
Designing an amp is a very slow process and many thanks to the people who participated and gave up so much of their valuable time.
At the moment the thread is silent because there is nothing to report. The first batch of boards were scrapped (at our cost). The build is taking much longer than we anticipated because of component shortages etc. There are a couple of guys in the USA who are making head way and hopefully we will get a report soon.
I don't know why you would think that there is commercial interest. We made it clear that since OS is not here, the design will be handed over to the DIYStore and they can run with it.... if the amp works as designed.
I hope you understand the complexities involved in such a design.

I did not mean to appear unappreciative of the hard work put in by the designers and testers nor the time it takes. I suppose what I was trying to say is that I miss all the updates and ideas. I have never worked in the electronic industry and only took up a teenage hobby after retiring from medicine. I also enjoy listening to experts in any field. Ashley

We will be here to help, once the testing is complete. This will take some time as there will be a need for some fine tuning to the circuit.
While we are waiting for components to arrive Jeremy is working on an easy to read Build Guide. Stuart, John and I are looking at transformers and filter caps. Not cheap.

Once we we get some prototypes up and running, I'm sure the thread will come to life. I hope everyone understands that we are trying to vet out the design before releasing to the masses. The goal is to get it in the diyAudio Store to make distribution and ordering easier and if that doesn't happen I'm sure the design will still be available to everyone.

I have decidedto continue thebuild.. there have been lotsof parts bought and lots of work done and I'll be happy to share results to help improve the final version.
Speaking of help, here's a little trick for those of us with older eyes. I use Nitro PDF reader to look at the schematic and also large prints. I still, at times have problems locating parts on the schematic.
The trick is this, you blow up the schematic in pdf reader so you have only a few parts showing on the entire screen. You can then hit the Ctrl+F to get a search, next you enter the label of the part you are trying to locate and hit enter. The part label will appear highlighted. You can then just zoom back out keeping the part in view.
Those that are intimate with the circuit, already know where stuff is at,but for those of us who are not, this little trick can save you a lot of looking.
This board is layed out very nice and keeps the part number in sections, this is very helpful, so kudos there. On other designs and builds part numbers are not so nicely grouped for you.

No, this is beta. They are trying to get data from several builders. I will be some time before you see a final version.

JT, glad to see you are going to build. Your cart was helpful to me, and I placed my parts order, I am going to start building tonight with parts already on hand.
Please hold off on placing the LED's at this point in time, as we might need to go to a brighter LED. Will update soon.
I can run some traces on various LEDs I have in stock if this would be helpful. I see what you guys are dealing with and agree that some people like them bright and some not depending on their builds and taste.
