I experimented with this but i didnt work good with gdt from computer smps, custom wound ones will surely work,as sg3525 can drive them directly,in my mind,it should work
I want to use this smps by TDA for this forum,uni4s
Uni SMPS 3 - Page 5 - Smps - DiyAudioProject
Is it usable??

SG cant drive GDT,because it have pwm od another type than ouput pwm.See schematic.Simulate if don't know.I tried GDT yelow toroid from PC and it's good when add totem pole after two diodes and 470R.Yes,SMPS is usable,TDA only revised my PCB.SMPS is my 😉
I don't have any test equipment here so it's only idea, not tested. You should test it.When I buy scope,I will try with GDT,I like this.Darlington is used because of base-emmiter voltage and classic BJT with diode shouldn't work.
Any sugestions will be good.

Don't forget to place storage inductor after secondary diodes.Oh,i get it,i will try smps
The smps has unusual grounding, does it mean that if i plug it into a socket without ground it dosent work?
No,it will work without it.But if bad transformer winding, you will be unsafe.
Member naf was tried it.You can ask him how it works 🙂

Is this one better or just not the same?
I like first version without feedback. In few weeks I will make discrete gate driver with homemade opto.
Standard optos can be used only to max 1-2khz.It's very slow.I plan to use metal case transistor and LED.
Can ''Logic'' optocouplers be used?,im pretty sure they can be since they are listed as fast optocouplers
