Audiophile-ish question: should we put 2x more expensive nichicon audio grade caps in place of those 15k uf ones? Those from the BOM are out of stock.
You can buy more expensive, but you can't buy better caps. These came from Nelson's personal stash and are NOS Panasonic caps that were manufactured in the U.S. back in the day. If he hadn't had them, we'd still be waiting for the kits to arrive at the store!

25 kits were given away at Burning Amp, 50 Almost Clone boards were sold and now the initial 100 boards from the store are sold. Hopefully there are about 175 of the little critters out and about in the next month.

Anyone use it with the B1 Korg preamp? Is it too much H2 or do you leave the jumper installed on the mini?

The USD 100 "Completion Kit" is still available in the diyAudio Store (as of this moment). Only the USD 25 "Essentials Kit" is sold out. You can pay $100 today or you can wait some number of weeks and pay $25 when the Essentials Kit is restocked at the Store. Then you can purchase the rest of the necessary components including the electrolytic capacitors mentioned in post #1045 above.

we should be seeing lots of happy builders very soon.
I'm one happy builder, first one too. I've been exploring the ACA Mini the past few days, hooked up first to some Advent OLAs, and then to semi-diy open baffle speakers I made by mounting a pair of Paradigm in-wall speakers (PV-160) into a handmade oak frames of modest dimensions, so limited bass. But playing it those waya, in a non-ideal place as of yet, I can tell there is some magic there in the purity of sound and the imaging, esp. paired with the open baffles.

Today I decided to dress the Mini up a little for the time being. Even though it is only 5x5", I mounted it into a not-bad-looking 5x7in photo frame; width is good, but extra space at one end. I affixed the Mini to the top of the frame, and secured it using M3 nylon hardware (in place of the metal standoffs supplied with the kit) and added fender washers on the underside.

And here is a photo with one of the open baffles. It's efficiency is about the same as the Advents.

It's a remarkable little amp. And based on my experience with monitoring bias for the last few days (similar to enochRoot), with a heat wave in the northeastern US, the addition of a little extra hardware would make it a great thermometer as well. 😎

That extra space in the frame - put piece of wood there and mount the various connectors on it 🙂
