well , sorry but i dont think you COULD construct a proper inverted ladder anyway....
maybe do some reading why self heating comes into play with monolithic devices, and why, why your stuff has nothing to do with discreete....

The Discreet boards use an AD7846-K, which is a fairly typical segmented+R2R chip (not a bare ladder). I just happened to find a pair of them on eBay at a good price, so thought they were worth a go for those with less patience.
Decent sound for little effort but falls a bit short of the Discrete - particularly compared to the transformer coupled version. Then again, that applies to every chip DAC I've heard. 🙂
