And there are plans for Spdif and even Analog Line Inputs...
Does this mean we can use a cd transport?
This is very exciting news for me

Yes, this will be the most common use case for Spdif. So Spdif to DSD.
Actually, not dependent on any particular I2S source.
Digital inputs are compatible with popular sources like:
Amanero, WaveIO, JLSounds(OEM type), BeagleBone and SDTrans384
Can these boards be daisychained using somthing like the DIYINHK multichannel i2s input, doing the crossover in HQplayer or J Rivers at say 44.1K PCM before your board converts to DSD for an active system?

Possible to daisy chain or expand for multichannel but not configured for this particular model (that is set for simple 2CH stereo). Multichannel versions maybe later if demand justifies.
Is this upsampling to which dsd fomat? dsd64, dsd128...dsd512?
The DSP engine can go up to dsd512 but I am going to speed limit this to dsd256 max (performance reasons)
Are you on the homestretch yet Acko?
Sure it is 🙂 but the challenge now is to get it to the finishing line. Will keep you posted!
Listened recently for quite a long time PS audio ith the same principle: FPGA converts PCM to 10xDSD, no chip. The most transparent, spatial, clean and lifelike sound I ever heard. Hope you will be able to get close to the sound results, but far from their price )))))

Yes, it is a great product! Interestingly, max Fs is DSD128
On the site is written "Strong line-level outputs" How many Volts?
How is this achieved, what type of amplification circuit?

~1.5V rms @ 0dB
what should be input impedance of the amp(preamp) to work well with DSD drive?
Is it possible to make 3volts output without loosing sound quality and simplicity of the output stage?

ZLoad > 5k
Gain structure optimized for typical line output and supplied as standard. Anything else with gain/drive requires custom design of the output stage.

оr preamp in between..
I have Pascal amp which require normally 3.3v, that is why asked.

I can possibly improve the final drive requirement to match these (Zload 1.8k) but not the output level.
I have between my DAC and amp relay attenuator + BUF, they do the match of impedance well. So, in case if I use DSD drive it will work in terms of impedance match.
My DAC gives out 3V, but for another source I will have to think about preamp probably.
Anyway - I am waiting for your final result and prices)
